Panorama Hall — Attraction in New York

My recent experience hosting a party at Panorama Hall was nothing short of disappointing. Despite paying almost $5,000 for the venue (small back room), the reality fell far short of the promised expectations.

Upon arrival, it was immediately apparent that the hall was not ready as agreed upon. Despite being assured that the venue would be cleaned and prepared for setup four hours before the event, paint buckets littered the area, walls were left dirty, and the overall cleanliness was lacking. This lack of preparation set a negative tone for the entire event.

To make matters worse, the bathroom facilities were far from acceptable, with cleanliness being a major concern. It's unacceptable for guests to encounter such conditions, especially considering the significant amount paid for the venue.

The quality of service provided by the staff further compounded the disappointment. Our experience was marred by a young male server who displayed a blatant disregard for his responsibilities. Not only was he more concerned with his phone than attending to guests, but he also exhibited rude behavior towards several attendees. To add insult to injury, when confronted about his unacceptable conduct affecting his tip, he had the audacity to demand an exorbitant tip ($500), citing unrealistic expectations.

In conclusion, my experience at Panorama Hall was deeply unsatisfactory. If you are considering this location for a party or event, I strongly advise getting every detail in writing and thoroughly scrutinizing the venue's cleanliness and readiness beforehand. The lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction exhibited by both the venue and its staff is unacceptable given the substantial financial investment. To start, don't let Google maps fool you, the location is between 86 and 87 streets on Astoria Boulevard next to Subway. For some reason it will take you across the street. Other than that, nice venue for parties, catering, etc. My friend's band performed there the other night, and if you have a group that needs a nice stage with great sound, this is the place to showcase your talent. The bar is inexpensive, and the service is attentive. If you're seated they serve various dishes, and you'll have live entertainment available. My only quip is that depending on the kind of event you're going for, there isn't seating unless you get there early enough. Other than that, nice...

Had a wonderful experience at Panorama for my mother's birthday party. Our waitress Karen was amazing she was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect and that our guests had a great time.
