My experience was extremely racist. Ordered 2 ices one large & one small. A rainbow & a lemon. The young ladies went out of their way to let me know I wasn't welcome. Keep in mind I have been in this area for over 20 years and moved never encountered such blayten disrespect. Hoping this is new Management. The elderly guy before me received napkins and change in hand the lady behind me received a smile change and a napkin. After speaking to the manager John??? Not sure he states they are not suppose to give ices in hand and all the white customers did but the East Indian customer got NO napkins and change and ices places on the counter. The manager indicated that as they are young they have difference of personality; they are like 21.... Oh that's interesting they have s rite to be nasty & disrespectful because they are young people NO INTEREST INSPEAKING WITH THEM AND NO INDICATION THAT THEY COULD DO BETTER he did mention that he does not get complaints I said this is the lesson how many diverse races stop and purchase ices???? That mayb why obvious being s icey store manager does come with aptitude on making clients feel welcome. I hope the owner does. Last but not least the best part of my experience is one of the young ladies cracked a joke when I ask can you sample the cream Flavor icey... Which I thought was a dam Good question; but they are 21 right it's acceptable for them to laugh & get starred down by one of the changing shift employees as if I'm suppose to be intimidated. They have no clue. The owner should reassist his management team. They settle for NOTHING. Could you imagine if I was Beyoncé cousin. You would more than be sorry- nasty customer service. Nasty staff. Not interested manager on duty at...
Read moreSo Yo I pull up to My Mother’s Place in Ozone Park, right? First off, I don’t know who’s mother owns this place, but let's say she can COOK, Ight? Sorry mom
I got the lime water ice The flavor Is refreshing and especially during this hot particular day it definitely hit the spot Then I also copped some knishes—crispy, golden, and fluffy inside i was surprised by the size of one usually they are a lot smaller at other places not only that they gave me the option to have the mustard inside the knish or on the side so you can dip it as well.
my boo? Got the rainbow water ice It had that classic taste that's hard to find in NYC She also got their signature cheeseburger, and when I tell you it was juicy? I mean “drip-down-your-elbow” juicy. I almost snatched it from her, but I value my life.
My Mother’s Place is An old-school NYC spot no frills, no nonsense, just vibes and flavor. Would I come back here again? Absolutely 5 out of 5 stars Don't tell my real mom we’re coming back.

Read moreQuite possibly the best budget friendly place in Queens, maybe even the whole city. In a world and society where food and accommodations tend to rinse your wallet completely dry like a sponge, there's at least one place where you can get a decent icee for under $5 and some food for under $10. My budget has been relatively tight so I've been relying on this place just for something light on the wallet to eat and this place has been very reliable. This corner spot has more flavors of ice cream and icees than Baskin Robbins and the Hot Dogs as well as the burgers here are delish and give off a homemade type of feel that is a contrast from your typical fast food burger. The ladies behind the counter are very welcoming and helpful. This has been my small haven for at least once or twice a week and will definitely be a hot spot when Summer...
