Sarah nails&spa — Local services in New York

This was my first time at this salon. I was hesitant to try this salon, I regret not listening to my instincts.

I asked for an almond shape for my nails, but the technician gave me two to three different shapes (square, round, square-round) and length on my left hand. Despite my instructions for reshaping, he filed my nails too short, and they still didn't match the shape I wanted. The top coat on my ring finger didn't dry properly, resulting in stringy rough polish. Surprisingly, my right hand was done better, even though those nails were shorter and broken.

I paid $44 plus a $6 tip but left unhappy and in tears. These were supposed to be my vacation nails, and it took months to grow them out after many years.

Upon reading reviews, it’s clear that only Sarah, the owner, has consistently good feedback among the four technicians. This lowers your chances of having a satisfactory experience unless you book with her. They also charge $5 for special shapes.

I wouldn’t recommend this salon and won’t revisit. The salon may look nice and smell fresh, but it’s disorganized and the service is subpar. Not pleased with my first time experience here. The owner Sarah did a great job with my mom’s pedicure, however Christine disappointed me in her way of cleaning my nails, shaping, and polishing. Hopefully I have a better encounter next time around with the owner herself.

Here for a second review. Very dissatisfied once again this time with Connie. I asked for square nails on the slim side not too wide. Came out with wide, lumpy, bumpy square nails. I got to the salon at 5pm, started my pedicure right away. Waited 30 mins for my manicure and did not leave this place until 9pm. Never have I sat in a salon for that long only to be disappointed. She is inexperienced in applying acrylic and shaping. I had to tell her to put the acrylic all the way to the bottom of my nail. It is still filled with a big space as if my nails have grown out for a whole 2 weeks already. Did not even clean my cuticles. I went here a couple of days ago for birthday being that I was visiting from California and really needed my nails and toes done and they did not disappoint. I got there as soon as they opened and they took me right away. The salon was super cute and looked pretty new so I was a little nervous about getting my nails done in a place I’ve never been. The pedicure was great and decently priced but my nails really blew me away. Sarah did an amazing job on my nails. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and it came out better than the picture. While I was getting my pedicure, I saw that they did lash extensions so I gave them a try and Sarah did an amazing job on my lashes as well.
