New Happy Golden House — Restaurant in New York

I’m so disappointed One of the main reasons I really hate trying new places I never had before and also eating out. I came across someone recommending this place on social media and I said I’ll give them a try in the future. There that goes easily, I would not be giving this place my money again. I spend $30.00 on food for vegetable fried rice, vegetable chow mein and fry chicken.

While I wait for my order I purchase a beer to have. Went home with my orders thinking I’m going to enjoy this food since I haven’t had it before from this location and haven’t had Guyanese Chinese food in a while- I’m so so disappointed my food have to be thrown out. The vegetable chow mein was sour and spoil 🤦‍♀️ the Fried Rice has no flavor. The fry chicken was good though, reason why they got one 1️⃣ star for me for the fry chicken. I started eating and I had to throw my food out in the trash as you can see in the photo. So much food and money went to waste and I don’t live close to the location. I’m 20 minutes away from there 🤦‍♀️ NEVER AGAIN ….. as you can see in the pictures, food taken out cause I did for myself and I had to seal and place it back in the bag to be trashed. If you want to try this location, it’s at your time and cost but I wouldn’t be supporting this...

We used to like this place a year ago, but now it's turned to a pure waste of time and money.

The staff are extremely rude and hardly listen to you. When my family and I were trying to get vegetarian options because we were fasting, they kept trying to force egg on the vegetable fried rice when we kept saying no on the phone. They place is constantly noisy which made it worse, can't hear yourself talking.

We usually ordered pick-up for our meals. They charged EXTRA in "Pick-Up" when we CAME RIGHT TO THE COUNTER. They didn't reveal the reciept until after we picked up, they stuffed the reciept at the bottom and hid it so we couldn't fight the charge when we got home. Said charge was basically a tip for them to pocket for their greedy selves.

The broccoli was so tasteless you can still taste the fertilizer that it was grown with. I am very serious, the only hint of an actual food taste was the sauce they coated it with, which made me sick after eating a few broccolis

The fried rice was tasteless as well, and we even thought that the white rice somehow had more taste than the...

Update: came here a few times after and this place seriously went down hill. I purchased spoiled fried rice!! Somebody needs to pay me back. Went straight to the garage never again!!!

Ordered the usual chicken fried rice roast pork and fried shrimp. I used this place to cater my birthday and they never fail to give me fresh food every time!. I love their shredded cabbage salad with cucumbers I asked for it to packed on the side along with the chicken because I live 2 hours away. They did exactly that excellent customer service from the girl who works there. So sweet you couldn’t ask for a better experience. Not to mention it looks like the place is not full inside, I came on a Monday during lunch and it was packed with guys lol. Now you know that’s a good sign the food is great! Enjoy and keep up...
