Food is mediocre and very overpriced. My girlfriend and I placed an order for pick up to eat home $71.50 for 2 orders of hibachi chicken w/ rice and a order of godzilla rolls. The portions were EXTREMELY SMALL for the price and the chicken was very rubbery almost inedible 🤮 (we ended up giving most of it to our dog. We 100% regretted it and will not get from this place again. Let me break down the total for you guys - Hibachi chicken w/ white rice - $21.50 - Hibachi chicken w/ fried rice - $27.50 ($6.00 extra for fried rice which came in a smaller then small container) (clear container which was less then 2 inches in height) (Both hibachi plates were also smaller then 2 inches in height) (yes, I actually backed out a measuring tape to show you guys how undersized the treys were that they use for their food. Order of godzilla rolls- $16.50 had about 5-6 small rolls in the container. (The salmon they used for the rolls was dark colored meat so that tells you they use the unwanted dark colored cuts of the salmon to make their sushi rolls) which kind of grossed me out. And 2 snapple beverages $6.00 Almost $75.00 after tax. 😳

I took my wife for a night out for her birthday. I have heard a lot about this place before and we tried a delivery one time during the Pandemic but never dined in. We went around 6:30 p.m. and we ordered 3 rolls for me and 2 rolls for my wife. Portions are small but tastes good and we also had a Kane salad for both of us. Presentation was good. The patio had 2 other tables with people. The service is good but could be better. The only thing is that they took almost 25 minutes to prepare our meal and i was so hungry so i felt it was longer. I had all what in the pictures below and diet coke. Our bill was 35$. Again that includes 5 rolls in total in 2 kane salad with diet coke. I enjoyed the meal but was not full. I have been to sushi places before, and i think this place is good!!

Love nakata! I order from them about once a week! Considerably more affordable than other sushi places in the area yet with outstanding quality and fast delivery! Yaki soba, japanese curry chicken, and habachi dinners are some of my favorites! Truly authentic flavors and options!

I moved out of New York a few years ago, and the food from Nakata is the only thing I miss. Nakata is the best you can get in the 5 boroughs imo. I've had Japanese food from many different places in NYC and several other states and I haven't found one that is as good. Maybe there are better places, but they are way out of my price range. For a person in the working to lower middle class, this place is where you want to go for Japanese food. I was someone who hated Japanese food until I ate here. My favourite things from the menu: eel sashimi, tiger eye, mango salad, shumai, Nakata pizza (eel), and pineapple fried rice. The staff was always very friendly and helpful (able to suggest things that I might like based on flavors I said I enjoy). They have the perfect service, there when you need them to be and letting you enjoy the food without constant interruption so you can have a conversation with your...
