This was my second visit. First time I was solo and had the burger, and it was pretty good. This time I went with a date. We had the beet hummus, watercress salad, cauliflower flatbread, sautéed chicken and Brussels sprouts.

The beet hummus was ok. The watercress salad initially came without dressing, and when it arrived after asking, it was off-balanced: way too much garlic and onion. The chicken was downright bad. It was flavorless, and the actual chicken itself was low quality and small (note: they definitely don’t get their meat from Hudson & Charles, probably the best downtown butcher, which is a block away). It also arrived a full 10 mins before the cauliflower flatbread, which was bland at best. The Brussels were fried to the point of flakey tastelessness.

On top of the mediocre food, the service was scattered and distant, and the acoustics in the space were poor: the space was maybe 1/4 full and between the music and the handful of other patrons we had to raise our voices to hear one another.

I really wanted to like this place, but I don’t think it will last without a major food and sound overhaul.

I really wanted to...

I had one of the best meals in NYC! I visited the restaurant during my holiday and I am most happy I found it (and wish I had done so earlier...). Prices are within the NYC-standard, given the high quality of the food I am happy to pay it, it is worth every penny! The menu is small but still covers gf and vegan options as well. They offer Mediterranean cuisine including meat & fish but also a burger. Portion size is okey, one should definitely get a side when having fish. The waiting time is reasonable, the dishes are prepared to order and when served, they are appealingly arranged. The quality and texture of ingredients is very good, the dishes are tasteful and the seasoning is well-balanced. I missed the options for a side salad or boiled/baked potatoes. I disclosed my dietary requirements in the beginning and although the waiter knew about allergens in the dishes he double checked with the kitchen to make sure my choices would meet those requirements (or the dish would be adjusted to do so). Both waiters were very friendly and swift and made sure of hosting a...

The ambiance, food, and bar staff were great, however, I had such a disappointing experience with the waiter who kept coming up to me on my birthday brunch to tell me that I needed to leave soon because another reservation was coming. How inappropriate? My friends and I were there for just under two hours and spent over $230 on food and drinks. I felt so uncomfortable and it was completely rude of him to keep coming up to me when I was trying to enjoy my birthday celebration with many of my friends whom I don't get to see often. I, unfortunately, will not be returning here because of this experience, which is unfortunate because the other staff was pleasant, the food was excellent, and the space was perfect for brunch.

Their response is false - the menu stated that the bottomless mimosas are served for 90 minutes, not that you have to vacate the premisis in 90 minutes(also note that even before the 90 minutes were up they repeatedly came up to tell me that I had X amount of time to leave). Also, you did not give us an additonal 50 minutes... that is...

DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE to say the least, here is why: I was really excited about this restaurant—the menu looked amazing. When I made my reservation, I triple-checked their website to see if the Valentine’s Day menu would be different, but there was no mention of any changes. However, upon arrival, I found out they were offering a very limited menu with options I wasn’t even sure I’d enjoy. Unfortunately, they never informed us of this change when we booked. While I can’t speak to the food or atmosphere, the lack of communication and poor customer service left a very bad impression. It’s frustrating to have a reservation accepted without being told in advance about such a significant menu change. I would still like to return someday to try their regular menu, but at the moment, we’re feeling quite disappointed. Who knows—if we do give it another chance, I may write another honest review. In the end, we opted for burgers instead, but the miscommunication completely ruined what was supposed to be a special dining experience.
