We were excited to dine here; however, we will not be back. The shrimp tasted like rocks -- we all tried it and agreed. Very strange. Furthermore, I actually spit out a piece of calamari as it tasted super fishy (I don't spit food out unless it's truly bad and I don't mess around with seafood). However, not all the calamari was like that. Unfortunately, my daughter-in-law ate quite a bit of it and got very ill that evening and threw up twice. I wonder if I would have also gotten sick if I had eaten that one piece. I will say that the lasagna was wonderful and my pasta dish was very good and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was also beautiful. I really enjoyed that aspect. Sadly, our server was pretty arrogant. Not sure what his problem was. In fact, when my mother asked about an item on the menu, he said, "Read it." And it was not overly busy so no excuses there. There are too many wonderful restaurants in NY to ever go back...

We really enjoy the food there so we figured we could try the Bryant park location. We ordered wine and appetizers first. The mussels were very bland and sandy. We didn’t say anything and waited to order our entrees. I order the striped bass and my two friends ordered the linguine and clams. The striped bass came and it tasted awful. It was not seasoned and tasted very earthy. The linguine was under cooked and the clams were extremely fishy. This is the first time I’ve ever sent back an entree at a restaurant. The manager proceeds to come up to us and say that he personally tried the fish and it was delicious and his customers never have any issues. Wasn’t apologetic at all. His reaction put a worse taste in my mouth than the bass! Will not be going back here to...
Read moreStopped in for lunch on a Saturday. I like this place a lot. It’s everything a good restaurant should be. Professional waitstaff, well thought out and comfortable atmosphere, great daily specials and menu items. Now about the food… if available, get the Beet salad. Perfectly seasoned paper-thin slices under thin blankets of lettuce that are totally satisfying as a starter - sorry no pics. I had to snap pic of the Linguine with clams. Wow! As good as it looks… not too much garlic but worth sopping up every last drop of sauce with the soft Italian bread. Oh yeah, don’t bypass the tapenade either - awesome olive flavor. The mushroom Risotto was also very good. One of the best I’ve tasted. The food here is so good, you won’t be taking leftovers home… because there aren’t any. Prices are not cheap, but worth every penny. They are doing everything...
