Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in New York

Never ordering from this location again. This “contact free delivery” is disgusting. At peak Covid, I get it - but places that delivered secured the food in containers so mice, rats and cockroaches couldn’t get into the food. I haven’t ordered from Papa Johns in probably 6 or 7 years. Today I did. They left on the floor of my apt building. When I asked the driver (who was just walking away from my door) why he left my food on the ground, he said “people like it this way”. I called the manager and she defended him saying he’s been a driver for 13 years. I’m sorry, I’m unfortunately done with NYC food delivery. Ever since Covid about 75% of any delivery I order is messed up and it’s often delivery people who don’t even want to enter my building. I went from tipping 30%, to now I’m routinely asking for tip refunds because of behavior. I stopped using Door Dash because I had too many completely drunk delivery people show up at my door with half my food missing. What gets me about Papa Johns is, it’s two blocks away! And the delivery driver works DIRECTLY with Papa Johns. So if their own paid employees are behaving like this, and don’t care, then I’m officially done. The great aspect of NYC has always been all the exotic take out foods available for delivery (and yes, even chain stores). But I guess everyone is “quietly quitting” because even delivery drivers want to be CEOs. It just disgusts me wanting tips but leaving people’s food on trafficked floors. It’s just disgusting. And they LIVE HERE. Literally my preference was Dominos and I was so tempted to order from them today but almost every day delivery had been a problem since Covid. Welp, Papa Johns...

This is 3rd time my pizza is late more than one hour to be delivered i called tonight 2 times to ask them to call driver and they tell me ok 5 to.7 min. It is same story all the time I been ordering for 10 years with same location never had problem with delivery between 25 and 35 minutes always since we are 5 min away from each other but this year is horrible i really dont kpw if owner changed of this location but i told my self thats it i will not order from this location no more. We really like papa johns pizza and thats the only reason we stick with them but lately they are iresponsible and slow delivery. Last time driver argued with me saying he couldnt find parking ok i know NY is big hassle to find parking but at least call me amd let me know i could always run outside and get it from the driver. So i am very disapointed and i will likely never order from here again. Not only me i am sure others have same problem so if they want to keep their customers they need to.work faster and be on time delivery. I hate when online order tells u it will be here 25 to 35 minutes and it comes after more than hour idk they need to be honest with delivery time and its on me if i will wait that...

My food is over an hour late. I still have not received it it is most likely cold. But that is not even the reason as to why I am writing this review. The gentleman answering the phone at 1:30 AM is extremely rude and extremely unprofessional. He claims to be the manager but managers do not speak to customers the way that he is speaking to me. He is yelling at me, he is asking me “what is my problem” and he’s saying “oh my god”. The first time I called him I asked him how far the driver is he said 20 minutes. The second time I called him I asked him to please call the driver so we can figure out how far he is. He hung up on me twice in the middle of me speaking. I called him a third time and I politely asked him multiple times to please stop yelling at me because I am not yelling at him and if he was the manager that is not how Managers speak to customers. So I asked him for his bosses number. And once again he hung up on me. I am still currently waiting on my food that I ordered over an hour ago.
