I was looking for a new karaoke bar to attend. I found out Shillelagh Tavern is an active venue for shows, open mic jamm sessions and karaoke. I went there on a Saturday night on karaoke night. It's starts a bit late. At 11:30 pm you can start picking your songs. I like the crowd. There were a lot of good singers. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The bar itself is also great. They have a great selection of beers and well drinks. All the bartenders I dealt with were professional and quick to attend to me. I recommend this lovely little off the beaten path watering hole. Read moreThis is a great bar. I visited on Sat 28 September whilst on vacation from Liverpool (UK), to watch my team Liverpool FC play Wolves. Within the first five minutes I knew that I was going to have a good experience, when I heard the barman talking to a couple of locals, reminiscing about the drunken night before that they had enjoyed together in the bar. There was a good atmosphere here, and the Guinness was good too. After the match I got talking to a couple of friendly local lads who tried to buy me a drink and asked me to have a shot with them.
