I visited this restaurant on a Saturday for a 5pm dinner reservation. I arrived a little early and sat at the bar. Upon entry the hostess was not welcoming or inviting at all. I guess her shift was about to end and her mood lacked friendliness which in the service and hospitality industry is a quality necessary. Needless to say the best thing about this restaurant was the bartender Francisco who was friendly and made an excellent cosmo and the DJ. The music here is on point.

Once me and my 3 other guests sat at the table, the server came right away and introduced herself. But that was the last of the prompt and attentive service. It was not crowded. There were only 2 other tables occupied. She came back 10 minutes later took our drink and appetizer orders. Once she came back with the drinks we put in our dinner order. However once we received all of our food the server disappeared. We needed napkins, extra sauce and we did want more drinks but because she went MIA we opted not to.

The food was ok. The appetizers were good except the octopus. It was overcooked and rubbery. Chicken wings were good and flavorful as well as the calamari. I didn’t taste the crab cake but my guest said it was ok. The steak and lamb chop temperatures were all wrong. Lamb chops were supposed to be medium they came well done. Still tender and good but not what was asked for. The steaks were also all well done. We asked for this medium well. The Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and asparagus were all delicious.

When it was time to go to ask for take out containers and the check, that was a whole 15-20 min process. We had to ask another server to assist us because again our server was too busy engaged in conversation with other workers.

Overall, I want to try the brunch. I hear that is the best experience. Hopefully with a different server. But outside of brunch, I am ok with not returning. And as far as recommendations I say try it...

Last night the hubby n I had a full on date night starting at this great new neighborhood favorite spot! Beautiful bar, nice tables, good music that was loud enough for fun but not club pumping overwhelming, and really nice people. We split a few dishes that were all delicious! The crab cakes were 3 fluffy round balls in the plate with a spread of Cajun mayo-ish sauce on the bottom. It was the perfect size, consistency and packed with flavors. Next up was a classic Ceasar salad. Not too wet with dressing but plenty to coat all the ingredients. The croutons were crunchy, the lettuce was crisp and the cheese was grated on instead of the traditional shave which turned out to be more delightful than I expected. Last was the beautifully prepared skirt steak. 2 thumbs up! This is a great cut of meat if you know how to cook it, and they definitely nailed it! Firm yet tender buttery veggies on the side with amazing mashed potatoes. We were in full belly heaven! The bar is beautiful, nice liquor choices, great menus, and our attendant KevOn was professional, kind, and spot on. I especially loved the attention to some details such as the gorgeous aprons, good ice, great glassware, excellent knives and thick tea towel napkins which set the standard. We loved everything about this place and we'll be back again and again! Kind note; Esthetically the only thing I would like to see addressed is the bright light in the work station which breaks the mood a bit. Can be covered with a drop down rod and straight flat curtain made of the same apron design and leather tabs just 1/3rd the way down from the ceiling to keep the light you need but shield it from the bar atmosphere. (Design is my business...I cant help but to see these small things) That, and keep the kitchen door closed, same reason, it's an...

I’m mostly writing this review because our waitress, Tiana, ruined the experience for us:

Food: bomb af - everything was a bit, Mac and cheese and garlic shrimp are things you MUST get. Salmon is good but be weary of bones. Steak was a bit chewy. Burger and fries was a safe play on my part and I was super satisfied it was cooked how I liked it and it wasn’t messy or hard to it - food was overall really great and I would love to come back but I need time after the waitress we had.

The waitress, Tiana, was overbearing and seemed to be rushing my family and I during the whole dinner experience. The restaurant was empty we were the only ones there and you’ll know it’s not busy when staff is taking frequent smoke breaks outside. Tiana kept tryna take food off the table WHILE WE WERE EATING IT!!!! She came to check in once every 3/5 minutes which is TOO FREQUENT. Constantly with the “are you done with that?” That’s even if she asks, sometimes she’ll just take it. She took my Mac n cheese while my fork was in my hand. While we were tryna settle and relax a second after dinner she placed the check on the table and cleared our drinks off the table. At this point we wanted to leave since she was practically kicking us out. I had to ask why she was rushing us and taking our food and she goes “my shift is up and I wanna go home.” Tiana could’ve politely informed us she was going home rather than rush us and take our food away. That way we could’ve settled the bill, ate in peace, and she could go home. It was rude and selfish this behaviour. That’s why it’s gonna be A FAT minute before I come back. Food was great but beware of Tiana, maybe next time she’ll take your food straight out...
