Annie 88 Express — Restaurant in New York

I've known Annie since the 1990's and She's been a fixture in the neighborhood ever since. My family and friends patronizes her restaurant because they live high off the Hog. I'm strictly Kosher/Halal and my favorite spot is called "No Pork Halal Kitchen Chinese restaurant" which is located downtown Brooklyn on the corner of 4th Ave and Dean Street about a block away from the Barclays center. The Chinese workers there are of the Muslim faith. They address you as "Brother or Sister" and greet you in the words of peace, As-Salaam-Alaikum. The food is always fresh and you don't have to beg for Soy sauce, Duck sauce or Mustard, they're located below the front counter and you can take as much...

Not everyone's "local" Chinese restaurant is the bomb, but Annie's 88 Express most certainly is. I have a soft spot for the owner, Annie who originally had her first restaurant one block up on Nostrand for almost 20yrs. She shut down took a break and started again, because she missed us, her neighborhood peeps.

I spent over ten minutes on the phone trying to explain what I wanted to order which was a small shrimp w. fries & the lady abruptly said “we dont do that! we dont do that! sorry I cant take this order!” when a majority of chinese spots do actually do that. she didnt even ask if I wanted to do the shrimp and fries separately and kept getting loud on the phone. I hung up cause I was losing my patience.
