I've known Annie since the 1990's and She's been a fixture in the neighborhood ever since. My family and friends patronizes her restaurant because they live high off the Hog. I'm strictly Kosher/Halal and my favorite spot is called "No Pork Halal Kitchen Chinese restaurant" which is located downtown Brooklyn on the corner of 4th Ave and Dean Street about a block away from the Barclays center. The Chinese workers there are of the Muslim faith. They address you as "Brother or Sister" and greet you in the words of peace, As-Salaam-Alaikum. I have a soft spot for the owner, Annie who originally had her first restaurant one block up on Nostrand for almost 20yrs. She shut down took a break and started again, because she missed us, her neighborhood peeps.
