Pho Amsterdam — Restaurant in New York

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this establishment. I was here with a group and have not had Vietnamese cuisine in years. The menu had some nice options and the food exceeded expectations. I am a guy that wants nothing healthy on his plate, so when I saw most of the dishes came with veggies I was curious if it could be substituted for some sort of carb. While I wish this was an option, I was happy with the sandwich special I received. While I do not like veggies, they were seasoned quite well and had a nice flavor. Whatever they used for that, keep it up. The meat was delicious, and I was a pretty big fan of their appetizer spring rolls (we tried a bunch of different ones). My only other gripe was that they did not have free soda refills. Other than this, my experience was quite good and I would definitely come back. I did not order the brisket and noodles, but tried some from my friend’s plate and it was very good; definitely what I will order...

Out of the many other banh mi offerings in the area, this is by far my favorite. BUT I can only say that for the bahn mi special (the one with the pate and other good stuff). I have had every other banh mi in the area and Pho Amsterdam hits gold on the bread, the pate, pork belly, and the butter has an almost brie cheese flavor that works perfectly. Maybe the other spots around have better grilled whatever banh mi idk but I feel like the true soul of a bahn mi is found here.

The pho is also really solid. The broth leans toward the nuanced and balanced side and not the in-your-face...

I’ve been ordering from this pho spot online for a while now, and they have never disappointed. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistent—exactly what you hope for when you find a favorite place. My order is always correct, which is rare these days, and today they went above and beyond with their customer service. The delivery driver was running late, but they stayed open after hours just to make sure my order could still be picked up. That level of care is hard to come by. I’ve never dined in, but their online service alone has made me a loyal customer....
