The Groupon "deal" is a scam.
I've been to Pronto a few times and the pizza isn't bad. So when I saw a Groupon deal ($11 for a large 16-inch pie, worth $21), I didn't even think twice about buying it.
I called to place an order for a "large 16-inch pie" and this is how that dialogue went:
Me: Hi, can I place an order for a large 16-inch pie? Girl with attitude problem: Is this the Groupon deal? Me: Yes Girl with attitude problem: What do you want? Me: Can I have half a veggie and half... Girl with attitude problem: You can't order any of the special pies. You can order it with toppings but each topping is an additional $2 Me: But the deal says it's worth $21 Girl with attitude problem: It's only for cheese pies and you'll have to pay for the additional toppings. It just doesn't say it in the fine print but that's how the deal works. Me (resisting with all my might to not give a attitude back because I didn't want a loogie in my pie and my Groupon was expiring soon): That's fine.
So bottom line, it seems like they don't like the Groupons, and just make up their own rules for it. Because nowhere in the deal did it say any of the rules she told me. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have bought it. It seems like they only put the Groupon deal out there to trap customers.
What a terrible experience! I used to come here occasionally but I won't be coming...

My set-up time was for 6:00PM. I received a notification that my delivery was going to arrive at 6:15PM. It was 6:25, I called Pronto's and got a young woman on the phone, who hung up on me. I called back maybe I got the owner on the phone, I told him where is my order? I pre-ordered it for it to arrive at my house on time.. HE told me it will be at my house in two minutes. YEA RIGHT. 10 minutes I called back.. Where is my order? My order didn't arrive until 6:40!!!! That's poor customer service. I don't want any apologies. I was offered my money back (I declined) I don't want anything for free from you because I will never order from you again.
