Marine Park Active Adults and Senior Center — Local services in New York

One of the better city parks in Brooklyn to enjoy a walk, bike ride, basketball, tennis, hand ball, jog, or just watch some organized softball or soccer games being played while you take in the sun. It's fairly clean and safe to take your pet for a nice stroll around the lanes specifically marked for walking or riding that some people seem to ignore. Recently the tennis and basketball courts were renewed so if you like playing either one of those sports you're in for a treat. My only complaint would be the buckling pavement where you can walk or ride your bike and the lack of food vendors. There's much more that I haven't mentioned both good and not so good so I suggest that you check it out for yourself. Thumbs up...

I love this Center....filled with physically active but non-straining programs, as well on relaxing games (Rummy Cube for example), discussions (History, etc). Breakfast & Lunch are available for a requested $2.00 donation & it cant be beat! Lunch is catered by Russo's on the Bay, healthy & generous portions! The Staff is friendly, helpful & professional. Activities are suitable for the seniors and goal to keep seniors moving are achieved. Socialization of seniors materialize. Location of the Senior Center which is inside Marine Park is excellent .
