Red Hook Cidery — Restaurant in New York

Great location. Can't really beat it (although Strong Rope next door is tied.)

No food really (you can order in from a Lundy's menu - will take about 30 minutes).

Service is fine - but, when we were there, there was only one waitress for the whole place - so just go to the bar yourself. Bartenders are friendly - helpful.

Stick to the basics or be prepared to complain about your drinks: Th first time we were there, my wife ordered a rose wine - which she said was pretty terrible but they let her traded it for a slightly better red wine. More recently - she ordered an Aperol Spritz - which didn't taste or look like an Aperol Spritz - so my wife traded that for a cider. (The bartender explained that they don't even have Aperol Spritz and if someone order one, they just make something up and that people return them...

I had an excellent experience here my first time. The second, awful. Do not get the sampler (if a specific woman is behind the bar). I had to wait 25 mins while she chatted with friends. I easily could’ve brought it back myself. She was rude and condescending. Great spot. Great time. If the place was swamped I’d understand but it was virtually empty. We were served tap cider in plastic cups in the sampler, when we inquired about the ciders the person behind the bar seemed unsure as to what she even gave us. For 45 dollars for 4 samplers of cider that were flat and from a tap rather than bottle after waiting 25 minutes for them to be handed to us in the first place, I think this place is a...

Great spot and nice host.

We got a bottle and just chill. The place is welcoming and with light snack for sell. You can easily spend a day here if they have some board games. It’s not crowded on a Sunday.

Clarence is a nice guy.

Resiling is okie and a little different from what I had. It’s not sparkling as I wanted. It’s not bad thou. I would try another bottle next time.
