The older woman working behind the counter was incredibly rude. My friend and I stopped by after having dinner at a restaurant next door, we were looking for a certain dessert. While my friend checked the options, I went to use the restroom. After I returned my friend informed me that the bakery didn’t have what we were looking for, so we decided to leave. Before I could walk away, the woman behind the counter demanded we make a purchase since I already used the restroom. In what world is it legal to demand a potential customer make a purchase before leaving ?

The restroom is clearly not open to the public, but the intention was always to buy a dessert. The woman behind the counter was adamant that my friend and I make a purchase, as if she was prepared to call the police if we didn’t end up wanting anything.

So glad I found this place. French Workshop used to be my go to place but this place along with deserts reminded me of European/Mediterranean deserts. I went with my girlfriends and we ordered all the cakes on the menu. Well we were in for a surprise. Everything was delicious. We all had decaf and this was the first time where decaf cappuccino didn’t have an aftertaste. Then we found out they have Burek. Goodness, delicious flakiest hand made dough I have ever tasted filled with choice of spinach , cheese or ground beef. *Second visit: I got a cake and some cookies to go, I was in a rush so I didn’t have a min to stop but the staff grab my cookies with bare hand that day. And the next day, I found hair in my cake.. (the hair was blonde and I have black hair.) Have to make the rate to 4 unfortunately.

My rate goes to the ❤️‍🔥tres leches cake directly. The price was reasonable, the slice was huge. Moist, creamy, melting-in-mouth.

Compared to cakes, traditional Greek desserts were less outstanding. They were still delicious of course! But my baklava was a little bit soggy.
