Was absolutely delightful in every way. Enjoyed a long conversation with a friend here today— we had truly perfect cappuccinos and were surprised by the delicious and freshly-baked pistachio cornettos (Italian croissants—and the best most flavorful perfectly flaky croissants I’ve had in NYC!) I was there around 12:30pm and by the time I left around 3 they were out, so the earlier you arrive the better chance you have at enjoying that deliciousness. And if you want a creamy coffee treat be sure to ask for their espresso over gelato - truly sublime.
The owners, Ivana and Aleksandar, were very hospitable and friendly, taking time to connect and attend to everyone that walked in the door. They clearly have a love of fine art and care deeply about fostering a space that is thoughtfully and uniquely curated. The 30’ high ceilings and huge windows deliver an airy atmosphere that is open and full of light. There was nice seating inside and out, and the minimalist design was calming and centering. They have managed to create an artistic yet down to earth vibe not found in any coffee shop I’ve found before, which is worth noting.
They have also partnered with fLover, a floral artist and designer on site creating fresh green arrangements with a number of candles that are sure to give even more ambience to this place after sunset. And Ivana said more art and collaborations will be coming in the future which I am looking forward to…
Overall I was truly impressed and thankful this place found its way to one of my favorite corners of the...
Read moreThe coffee they serve is very mild, if you love strong coffee, this could be not your choice. Chocolate croissant is very good. It is always warm when it is served and a hint of orange zest makes it so good.
The owners are very friendly. But servers are felt like snobs for whatever reason. 🤔 (Edit: The new duo at the counter are so friendly. Love that they greet you with “Hi Friend”. My previous review is from a year ago.)
When you order extra hot coffee, they won’t call you when coffee is ready, sits in the counter until you realized, it’s ready. so your hot coffee joy may spoil. You need to wait your coffee in the counter 🫤 (happens more than once so. Lesson learned 🫡)
It is the most beautiful coffee shop in terms of decoration and art. And they change the decor several times in a year, so every time I come here I have a surprise 😍
Very early in the morning to be there is the best. Plenty of seatings. Calm and quiet.
The coffee is not that important but if you are looking for a nice place to sit and relax or meet a friend, this place is the...
Read moreReally beautiful and curated coffee shop, obviously, and always busy because it’s so gorgeous! I come here every now and then to enjoy the museum-like atmosphere and had no complaints, but the last time I visited I experienced disappointing customer service.
I ordered a pastry and they declined to warm it up in the microwave for me because the “kitchen was closed”. This was at 2:30 pm and they close at 4 pm. The fact that they were too lazy to plug the microwave back in 90 minutes before they actually close was pretty shocking. Not to mention, pastry was way too hard and stale to eat so I had to take it home and reheat to eat later. We also ordered a coffee and they forgot about our order as well - all three baristas were texting and gossiping with each other instead of paying attention to customers waiting for orders.
This cafe is still undoubtedly a very pretty place but I wish they would put a modicum more effort into...
