So much fun and quite beautiful. You walk in and it’s a huge warehouse kind of place with about 8 floor shuffle boards. They also have huge Connect 4 games in the middle. There’s a bar AND a Korean “food truck.” The whole place had a Florida vibe (apparently shuffle board a Florida game). They did a beautiful job with the decor, especially the bathrooms (they’re flamingo themed)! Before playing shuffle board, we had a tutoring session. Shout out to Myron! He stuck around if we had questions and cheered us on! The rest of the staff was really nice and welcoming. My friends tried the Korean food, I had a bite of glass noodles bulgogi, thumbs up from me. Great spot for bigger groups for sure. Might do a birthday here. Apparently it gets packed on the weekends. And the night we were there was the night of a shuffle board league game, so we came early and got to play. So I would call and ask if anything specific is going on!

Who knew shuffleboard was for more than just the top deck of a cruise ship?! On top of the shuffleboard, The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club has multiple bars, tons of other fun games like Mega Connect 4, and a live DJ on most nights. This place is TRULY a party. Plus, they make the cocktails super strong, so don’t be surprised if you end up stumbling out at the end of the night. While there can be a bit of a wait to get onto the shuffleboard courts, there is plenty to do to keep you busy and entertained. Plus, there’s food! It’s everything you need for a hell of a time in NYC. Typical Age Group: You’ll certainly find a bit younger crowd, with most of the patrons ranging from early 20’s to mid 30’s. Cost: An hour on a shuffleboard court is $50, but if you have a few people that’s not too bad of a price. Drink prices are on the lower-mid side, with beers starting at $6 and cocktails coming in at $14.

I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!

My first time here was during a social media event, since that fateful night I've been here about two or three times since then for a variety of reasons:

____

THE SPACE: Huge awesome space that never feels insanely quiet. This is mostly due to them having only 2 exits and so New York State Fire Laws gave them a limit of 296 people - sure they could comfortably fit hundreds more, but it's also more comfortable inside to feel like it's only 60-75% full because that means there's ample walking room and you don't have to wait hours to order a delicious drink...which brings me to....

DRINKS: Omgosh you guys. Their "Shuffleboard Bob" is my jaaaaaaaaam (do people still even say that?). It's composed by coconut water, cucumber, quality gin and fresh lemonade - it's sweet, tart and still packs a nice boozy punch without the overkill - awesomepants!

GAMES: Among the games they provide here are playing cards, UNO, dominoes (yaaaaaassssss! Insert old school Puerto Rican music here), Connect Four and probably others...feel free to bring your own games too ("Cards Against Humanity" anyone?!) and who can forget their main game - ze shuffleboard...

SHUFFLEBOARD, YOU GUYS!!!: Kay, so this wasn't my first time SEEING shuffleboard, I've been to beaches before - but this is a whole new beast - their shuffleboard courts are indoors, pristine, with very clearly defined boundaries and can really be fun to play once the staff shows you how to use the rolling stick thingie to get the plastic puck-like things into the numbered things...lol. It's $40 dollars an hour to play but if you're in a group of 4+ it's not so bad, just divide into teams and conquer!

CON: If you're coming to play shuffleboard then COME EARLY or the wait it going to be hours long...but at least you can play other games in the meantime and drink yummy drinks :D.

____

Foodwise, I brought a pizza (actually, scratch that - I had that sucker delivered through Seamless, hah!) once when I went in the mid-afternoon and there was no food truck in the food truck bank yet - I did that because I saw that other people had a pizza pie and a table behind me had people pick up food from Dinosaur BBQ (it smelled soooooooo good! Om nom!) but apparently I (unlike these folks) had to hide it because by the time my pizza arrived the food truck had parked and was ready for business...

I'm not sure what the rules are in terms of seeking solid nourishment when the food truck bay is empty but whatevs. Come here, enjoy the space, enjoy the community, get your drank on and watch me kick your butt at...

Might possibly be the best recreational experience I have had in years! If not possibly EVER. The place and the staff are that good. The whole staff is warm, welcoming, incredibly efficient and totally passionate about customer service and your experience here. They go above and beyond every step of the way. From greeting, to managing wait times, to communication, to accommodation, to education on gameplay...they are just totally fun hosts. The entire staff acts like they are the founding owners. The proficiency of customer service here is reminiscent of Disney World, but much cooler people. As far as the facility, its great! While you wait (in person reservations ONLY) you can play board games, oversized jenga and connect four. Obviously shuffleboard is so much fun once you get on a court. Its challenging and a good time. Equipment and courts are well maintained. The decor and the vibe is a great time too, without being overdone or in your face. The bar is easily accessible, and well serviced. You wont wait more than a short minute or two for drinks. Drinks are also well poured and a good value. The selection is a little lacking if your not someone who orders typical cocktails, beer or wine. Yet you'll definitely find something. I was also impressed at the size of the facility. Its very comfortable. If you have covid concerns you should feel plenty safe that you're not squished on top of people at the bar, courts, or tables. One more time, THANK YOU to the manager and front desk staff. You were all truly exceptional. I waited 5 years and drove 2 hrs both ways, in a hurricane no less, and you all made it worth it all. Cant wait to...

I can’t express how thankful we are for the wonderful wedding reception Royal Palms helped us create. The leadership, direction and responsiveness of the Events planning team was amazing, beginning with the very 1st phone call and continuing throughout the entire process. Because of them we felt so confident that the party would be fun for all and they didn’t disappoint. Not only was the leadership team awesome, we must also give a shoutout to every single staff member at the event. They engaged the guests with shuffleboard in a way no one expected. Not to mention drink service and table clearing. Most of our friends were not sure what to expect from a “shuffleboard wedding reception”, but they couldn’t have been more pleased with the fun and whole experience. Every guest was made to feel welcome. The entire event was a hit. But most importantly, the Bride and Groom had the reception they wanted. Do not hesitate to book your next event at...
