Wow, I came here for the first time and they lost a potential long term customer. Got a pedicure and almost everything went wrong. If it's busy they rush you off the chair. I think they are racist. I got dirty looks from the owner, So evil and passive aggressive and two faced.
They put my feet back in the dirty water, wet my legs with the dirty water and wiped it off with baby wipes. I've never been to a nail salon where they use baby wipes to "wash" or dry your feet: I complained and the owner sarcastically said they use clean NYC water, when I simple asked for soapy water and a water hose to rinse off my feet. I guess they don't have a drainage system, or they're too lazy to wash the bin after each use.
Then I asked for her to scrub my callouses just little more, as I stand and walk a lot for work. She refused. The skin ended up being uneven, and rougher than before.
I asked for a scrub and offered to pay extra, they said No.
Then as the nail polish went on I saw that my second toenails were cut at a 30° angle. I asked for a square cut. It looked crazy because that is my long straight toe. The owner and worker tried to gas light me and say that my toe was turned that way. Ummm, WHAT?! It is completely bizarre. I kindly asked her to cut it straight. I guess because of their ego they told me that it would MAKE MY TOE BLEED. I ended up cutting it straight and square MYSELF! š©.
To make it worse their clientele present at that time were condescending mean B's who sided with the staff. I just about had it at that point.
So much disrespect when I complained as politely as someone could possibly do. After all they are the ones holding the sharp objects.
Never was treated like this at other salons. They offered that I just pay for polish. Polish is $20. Well guess what, one foot got more polish than the other because no one listened to me.
I left feeling terrible, a day to treat myself ruined. Thankfully my husband came to console me after. ZERO STARS because they still got my hard...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt like to leave negative reviews, but since I chose this place based on reviews, I figured I should also say my piece.
I came here on a Saturday morning for a powder gel mani and the place was already packed, which seemed like a good sign. I was first set up with one person, who I picked my powder color with. She began filing my nails without asking what I wanted, so I had to speak up myself and say ālight file and keep the shape round please.ā She finished the file, but before she could buff, she was swapped out with another person out of nowhere. Then, without any communication, this new person begins filing my nails again, which made them much shorter than what I wanted. Then, AGAIN, she said I was being swapped with a new person (a man, which Iāve had bad experiences with in the past but thatās just me). This guy comes over and tries to confirm that Iām getting a french manicure⦠to which I say no and show him the green powder I picked out. He then proceeds to file my nails AGAIN so now they are basically stubs ā there was never any talk between the staff about who had done what.
I also began to look around the salon and noticed that a lot of the equipment was ratty and old, and some things even had visible dirt on it. The biggest cleanliness ding, however, was when I realized that the man did not ask me to wash my hands before starting the powder mani⦠which meant that all my skin bacteria was swimming around in those tubs along with everyone elseās before me.
There wasnāt really an ambience about this place, and I mostly felt like they just wanted to get me dried and out as fast as possible. Maybe I have higher standards than the average person, but, given the abundance of existing nail salons and new ones popping up all the time, I feel like the salon should know this info in order to evolve and stay competitive. For now though, Iāll likely be going to a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUNWELCOMING TO BLACK AMERICAN WOMEN
Typical racist run joint that actively discriminates against Black American/ADOS women.
I walk in, no greeting, no hello no nothing. Instead I'm barked at, "Wat you want". I'm like I have an appointment. The girl in the first seat rolls her eyes. Screamed at again "Pick you color". Ok. Severe language barrier, waste of time trying to communicate effectively with them.
Sit in the massage chair, when I go to other places they put it on for you. Not here.
Place is also very small and not very clean. You can see a layer of dirt and debris under the clear plastic cover on the little trays/stations/whatever by the pedicure chair.
No hot towels, "hot stones" were luke warm. Blech this place!!!
My white friend shows up, VAST difference, she is greeted as if they actually want her business.
If I knew who owned this place I would have avoided it like the plague these places are.
As for the work? Shoddy and rushed. Feet are still rough, free massage was more like abuse. Very nasty, rude and useless place.
Look at all the white hands in the reviews, that is who they service happily and should be the only ones to continue to go there.
I would...
