Basically, everyone knows that New York City has the best pizza and that’s because of the water. I have had many pizzas around New York City and they’re all great. However, I decided to try this one out and it’s actually awesome. I have to preface all this because my father was a chef at some of the top Italian restaurants here in New York City, and my beloved is a Mi Michelin Star trained chef in French and Italian cuisine and actually had her own Italian restaurant up in Provincetown for 20 years, so I have a sense of what taste when you say something tastes good. We ordered two pies, one more difficult than the next I believe. The first. Fresh Mozzarella Pizza with basil with fresh mozzarella cheese. It had a thin crust, and yet perfect to the bite. Then I asked for Supreme Deluxe Pie which is with mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions and olives. I requested that after the pie comes out for them to put an extra layer of cheese, and have it melt by itself. This pie is hard to do because you have many different textures from the onions, the green peppers, the olives and the thin, sliced sausage and pepperoni. Then when you add the two layers of cheese with a thin sauce and becomes amazing and perfect. This is why I consider this pizza place, not just great but completely awesome. We will definitely be going back to them again and again.

Worst pizza place to order delivery from Sams pizza on 116th n Lexington My food was delivered twice because the delivery man choose to make a careless sloppy delivery and on the second delivery I bit into the biggest slice and in return I got a mouth full of a clear , watery ,cold substance . WArm pizza shouldn’t feel like somebody spit on it . Worst delivery man ever please be careful ordering from here the delivery guy has a nasty attitude and he will yes you to death

Sam's Famous Pizza is among the best of the best in NYC. It is a NY slice as you remember it. Firstly, it is a huge slice of pizza of absolute quality ingredients! The mozzarella to sauce ratio is impeccable. The crust is delicious and cooked to perfection. The pizza is like clock work- consistently good no matter day or night-alway the same outstanding quality.

I’m giving this place 1 star because The pizza and the service is only great when the owner is there which he was this morning although after spending $57 for my sons pizza party I decided to call and order another pie (the owner must have left) the Hispanic man that got on the phone was very nasty to me to the point that I’m very upset and disappointed that I ever gave my hard earned money to this establishment I have been there before when the owner wasn’t there and the pizza was disgusting so I learned to only go there when the owner is there although after today I will learn to go elsewhere .I’d rather go hungry than to be disrespected and yelled at bc I am asking about a price difference . So I warn you beware because this establishment is not the same place if the nice gentleman (the owner)that helped me earlier in the day is not there .eat at...
