If we could give a higher rating for everything at Catrina Mexicana- we would give this 10 stars! From the second you stop at the door, someone is right there opening the door, helping you up the two steps inside - like you’re visiting and the favorite cousin - they are happy to see you. The owner came around to every table, greeting everyone, like family. We loved it. The service was excellent, food - delicious and beautifully presented and the sangria 🌟🌟🌟we couldn’t finish our pitcher so we took the rest home to enjoy. The green picante sauce is like your family made it - absolutely hot, just the right touch for Maximo Caliente and fantastic!!! Oh my GOSH!!! I ordered delivery -- it was a rainy night after a long day -- and let me just say everything was restaurant quality and incredibly fresh (yes, even the chips!). Everything was so delicious, but I particularly LOVED the enchiladas con mole with tinga (chicken marinated in chipotle). I mean, WOW. The flautas (papa con chorizo) hit the smoky spot. Also tried the traditional sopa de pancita which was rich, flavorful, and tender. I had called to ask for recommendations and received such kind direction that it made me excited and I ordered sooo much! Horrible customer service I am appalled by the way we were treated by a waiter that has no matters. He was rude and abrasive. We were a party of 7 his issue was that he said we were blocking the path with a stroller ok so we moved the stroller to the side problem solved!!! Apparently not..Clearly he still had an issue he came out with an attitude saying he couldn’t have the stroller on the side he wanted us to leave the stroller outside hello the baby was sleeping so since he didn’t get his way he was rude… so we all Got up and left we are now sitting at Ruta Oaxaca where they are great and accommodating.
