Sampan — Restaurant in New York

We got delivery from here recently: shredded chicken with chili sauce (pictured) and sesame tofu. The shredded chicken tasted just like Hunan Chicken and was good. The tofu was of the spongy and sour variety which can be ok in some dishes but when the dish is just tofu that type becomes unpleasant to eat after a few bites.

Other pluses were that it is cheap and delivery is very quick.

In short, we probably won’t try it again. both Sunrise on Broadway and Malala on 30th Ave are better to me—though people love to crap on Malala for their fluctuating sanitation grade. I had an order sent to me by someone to my house via grub hub and the delivery driver held my food and demanded a tip saying cash tip pointing to the receipts because it said zero tip. Although a delivery fee was paid. I ask to to please give me my food. He angerly sat my food on the floor because he didn't get the tip he wanted. This place is horrible! Ordered takeout while staying at a nearby hotel. The shrimp fried rice was mushy and looked more like yellow rice how can you screw up rice! The mongolian beef had wey more onion than beef and tasteless the orange chicken was soggy and taste like orange peels. The only decent item were the egg rolls. How did this place get a 3.6 rating.
