Someone in a previous review stated the service is slow here even though it’s not busy and they were absolutely correct.
Im writing this review on my second visit, I’m literally sitting here as I write this review and can assure you that both my first and second time here have been muddled by slow service.
But I’ll do you one better. Today, the person who greeted me and took my order last time was the same person today. And this person came out about 10 or 15 min after I sat in the back to say they forgot about me.
I don’t know about you, but I’m not coming to a wine bar to be forgotten about on a Friday night, or any other night for that matter. Now my first visit I was very generous with the tip, tonight who knows… I might just forget to tip as I think about the sour house wine I was served tonight as a slap in the face to the long wait and being forgotten about.
Ahhhhhh… but a las as the person just came back outside and our eyes locked as they took my follow up order, I just bumped this up to 4 stars out of trying to be nice. But don’t test me… I’ll drop you guys down to a 3 star real quick.
And here come your three stars.. remember, I’m writing this as I sit at the restaurant…
Happy hour listed on the menu but when I get my check the price reflects full price. If I had been here to get saucy I guarantee you I wouldn’t have notice cause I trust a business will honor their advertised policy without me having to call them out on it.
I was really giving this establishment the benefit of the doubt… lucky I don’t call the Department of Consumer Affairs in over this, so I’m hoping management reads this review and others and steps it up.
This is a great place and potential cash cow given the development of the area, but with service like this you’re just missing out on free word of mouth advertising and 5 star reviews.
P.s. I was still generous today, hopefully that buys...
Read moreI really wanted to give a -5 because of the trauma I endured but I want to emphasize I had great service from one of the ladies working here. I went to this establishment on Wednesday and I was pleased with the outdoor aesthetic. But everything went left when I heard and saw something rustling in the bushes. Within 30 minutes I saw TWO RATS one small and a huge MTA STATION RAT. I gave them some grace and said you know they can’t control pests outdoors so me and my girls went to the indoor seating. We ordered the cheese plate, pulled pork sandwiches and drinks. All the food was divine then an hour or so after I was shocked to see a centipede crawling on the table. I jumped and screamed in fear and the other server asked what it was. I said it was a centipede to which she replied, “Really?” What kind of response is that? Clearly she lacks good customer service. Our set server was lovely and apologized for the discomfort. Her service was EXCELLENT but it didn’t make up for the...
Read moreI'm torn. I do not want to say anything good about this place for fear you might want to come and crowd the place up; but I do want this 3 year old place to make lots of money and stick around. I rarely use the word 'charming', but I do find everything about this place has a unique level of charm. Whatever you do, DO NOT ask to sit in the yard; it's calm, serene, mellow, cool, peaceful; and I'm sure this sort of thing ain't your bag, mann.
(Come close. Closer...) Shhh, listen, if you and your friends aren't loud, the young ladies who run this joint will leave the outdoor sitting open pass 11:00PM. FYI. So, the sound of the 2 inch river rocks beneath my sandals as I play footsie with my date should be louder then you post dark.
Oh yeah.. Great prices, great drinks.
Suggestion: They should make a deal with the pizzeria down the street to provide the food for a slightly expanded menue if logistically possible. Just 5 or...
