Well, well, well, folks, if you find yourself anywhere near Sheepshead Bay and you're thinking, "Gee, I could really go for some mouthwatering delights," then you've just hit the jackpot with Shepherd's Cup! This confectionary restaurant is like a sweet symphony for your taste buds. 🎵🍰
Let's dive right into the culinary wonders, shall we? If you're looking for breakfast or a hearty meal, they've got you covered with egg sandwiches that are so good they might just make you question all other sandwiches you've ever had. Lentil soup that warms your soul and sausages that are the stuff of legends. And when it comes to the sweeter side of life, Shepherd's Cup doesn't mess around. Almond croissants that are so flaky you'll wonder if they're made of clouds, biscuits that practically crumble with happiness, and chocolate cookies that are an ode to cocoa.
But let's not forget the drinks because, my friends, Shepherd's Cup knows how to brew up some magic. Lavender latte, matcha, and cappuccino that'll have you reaching for your inner caffeine connoisseur. Each sip is like a little vacation in a cup.
Now, let's talk ambiance. The cozy atmosphere here is like a warm hug from your grandma – if your grandma was a pastry chef. It's the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and let the sweet aromas and comfortable surroundings transport you to a world of pure indulgence.
And about those high ratings? They're not a fluke. The competent employees at Shepherd's Cup are like dessert wizards, making sure your experience is as delightful as your almond croissant. Their smiles are as warm as their pastries, and their service is nothing short of top-notch.
Now, let's talk fancy. The decor here is more than just fancy; it's like stepping into a page of a design magazine. You'll be Instagramming your surroundings as much as your food, trust me.
In a nutshell, Shepherd's Cup is where culinary dreams come true. It's where you can indulge in all things sweet and savory, all while basking in a cozy atmosphere that feels like home (if home had the best almond croissants in town). So, next time you're near Sheepshead Bay, do yourself a flavor favor and swing by Shepherd's Cup. Your taste buds will thank you, and you might just discover your new favorite breakfast spot. Cheers to delicious adventures! 🍳☕🥐 #ShepherdsCupSweets...
Read moreI generally always get Take Out because I live too close to eat-in. Food is decent, prices a bit high. Please remember Brooklyn businesses, I know the rent is high but when you raise the price to compete with Levain Bakery's or other Manhattan places I can just as well get stellar stuff in Manhattan instead. And I've practically had everything but the soups. Also, please add some more variety to the menu even if occasional. I've eaten some of the same sandwiches and salads like 30+ times each and I look for changes.
I would prefer if more of an effort could be made to not overly have non-paying occupants in seats who stay for excessive amounts of time. Similar to someone else I notice the gentleman who lays on the sidewalk practically has his watch set for you to put out your chairs and tables and then there's the afternoon couple who just sit idly arguing for umpteen hours. It's no benefit to you financially and if you want solicitous non-paying customers in seats I know a bunch of idle people I can just tell that there are seats out and they'll...
Read moreBeautiful cafe. My drink was delicious. The only spoiler was a rude, young (blonde) woman who was taking my order. I had a simple request for my drink and she looked at me like I had a problem for asking it and she then looked over at her coworker with a rude expression, making it seem like what I asked was ridiculous. This exchange she had right in front of me was terribly rude. I simply asked for my drink to be room temperature with just a bit of ice. When I was leaving I handed to her directly a good tip (even though I didn't feel she deserved it at all for the way she treated me), and her response was a cold, dry thank you. She was seething with attitude. I'm sorry, but people like her should not work in a Christian based service industry because they don't reflect the love of God in the way they treat people. I'm not sure I want to go to this cafe anymore because of this awful treatment. If I do decide to go again, I hope I won't encounter this employee. It ruined the...
