I’ve been twice. First time was a Sunday around 1230pm and the slices were fresh, decent amount of people there. (UPDATE: NOW CLOSED ON SUNDAYS). Second time was 2pm on a Tuesday and the slices were just as fresh. Buffalo chicken is my favorite (crown jewel) . I’ve also gotten the marg slice with burrata which is delicious. Garlic knots come in orders of 3 for $2. They’re not small and come with a marinara to dip, so I plan to get an order each time I go. Buff chicken, marg slice with burrata (pic attached) and garlic knots with marinara to dip - $13 Delicious, not too thin but not overly fluffy crust/dough. Might be time for me to try something other than the pizza, but the pizza won’t disappoint.

Update: still fire. Typically people post updates if something has changed - this update is to tell you that nothing has changed. If anything, Smith Street Pizza has gotten stronger. Since my initial review, I also added the vodka slice to my rotation. If you are lucky enough to pop in when that’s available, buy it. From my latest pic, it appears they’ve adjusted the Buffalo chicken slice by adding scallions....

As someone who works in the service industry myself, I have an incredible amount of patience for others in the same boat. I don't leave negative reviews unless the experience is exceptionally bad, so this rating is purely for the service.

I placed an order on their website. When we arrived to pick up, they said they didn't have it due to some issue with one of their tablets. "I don't know, that tablet doesn't work." Okay, whatever, I don't mind waiting for the order to be made, no big deal. But in this guy's mind, that was the end of the conversation. I showed my order confirmation, expecting that to be enough proof to have my order made, "I don't know, that tablet doesn't work." Saw that my credit card got charged, stood there waiting for some actual response, but nothing. He walked away, I was thinking he was going to grab a manager or something so I could get a refund, but we just got ignored until we left. No pizza, no refund, nothing.

Plenty of other pizza spots here that would at least give you the courtesy of a refund when they fuck up. Credit card dispute is my...

Beware. We got 2 pepperoni slices. The guy tried to charge my girlfriend $27. I saw it and asked my girlfriend about it. She was like huh, that’s expensive. The guy serving us listened to our entire conversation. We were walking out and another customer stopped us and was like wait guys there’s no way your two slices were that expensive. Only after the other customer said something did the guy serving us start giving a refund asking no questions, clearly with full knowledge from the time the card was swiped that he had accidentally charged us for our pizza and the guy behind us. Rather than saying something immediately he waited for another customer to speak up...

As I continue my unofficial Pizza Tour of NYC, I came upon Smith Street Pizza in Cobble Hill. There are some other main stays in the neighborhood but I wanted to give this spot a go. I usually opt for a Pepperoni slice as a barometer, but I also was craving a specialty slice with more substance. I decided to go with the Buffalo Chicken slice. Must say it was one of the better ones I have had. Plentiful amount of chicken. Great balance between Buffalo sauce and blue cheese sauce. The chicken was juicy and the crust itself was crispy with a bit of chew. A well executed slice! Would definitely try again when I'm back in Cobble Hill

Best best pizza I’ve had in a long time! Cheese is just right not too watery or anything it’s just right! Thin crust slices and their options are plenty. Rolls Chicken or Sausage are the bomb! Nice lil yard in the back menu above the wall is clear and very good. The owner classic ITALIAN from Brooklyn Downtown and he’s all business but really cool. Hires Latinos and treats them well - speaks to them in Spanish like a cool boss should!
