My experience at Lift Wellness Center, where I indulged in float therapy for sensory deprivation, was nothing short of transformative. From the moment I entered the serene space, I knew I was in for a unique and rejuvenating experience. The float therapy session itself was a revelation. Drifting effortlessly in the buoyant saltwater, I felt weightless and free from the distractions of the outside world. As the tank cocooned me in darkness and quiet, my mind quieted, and my senses heightened. It was a truly immersive journey inward, allowing me to disconnect from the stresses of daily life and focus solely on the present moment. The sense of sensory deprivation was surprisingly liberating. In that peaceful solitude, I found a profound sense of relaxation and mental clarity. It was like hitting the reset button for my mind and body, leaving me feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and more centered than I had in a long time. The staff at Lift Wellness Center were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, guiding me through the experience with care and professionalism. Their dedication to creating a safe and welcoming environment for guests was evident, and it truly enhanced my overall sense of comfort and tranquility. If you're looking for a unique and restorative wellness experience, I highly recommend float therapy at Lift Wellness Center. It's a journey of self-discovery and renewal that I believe everyone should embark on at least once.

I loved my first float! Christian was so lovely and ensured I understood the process and protected my eyes and any cuts from getting burned with saltwater lol. I came after a hard workout (4hrs post to avoid heating the water) and before a big interview. I meditate pretty often, but this was a much easier way to get in the zone (or out of it). They offer neck pillows, so if you find it hard to relax, that helps a lot! I ended up ditching mine once I fully trusted the water to hold me up. I’ll definitely extend to 90-minutes or more next time I visit! One thing to note: if you have long/thick hair, you may want to bring your own hairdryer (especially if it’s cold out) since the one in the primping room isn’t super powerful, also face lotion. I seem to always have samples on me thankfully, but you really won’t need anything else!

I loOOOOVED IT! First time ever. I was very nervous from all the reviews and details of the tub. But relaxation is something my husband and i desperately need (i personally in need of a chiropractor). So i Took my husband for his 40th bday and he loved.. Because it was our first time, we didn't know what to expect but we walked in with an open mind. We were in separate pods, in separate rooms.. For me, I was too focus on what will "happen", I sort of feel asleep and cant really remember if i was dreaming or not but, a few things (people) came to mind that was wearied.. and b4 I know it an hour had passed.. After leaving is when I began to really feel stressed free and enlightened... My husband is Already planning for his next visit! Anywhooo.. I made a video review of our experience. 🥰

The first time I came to float, there was this dude leaving who I can only describe as “finance guy” talking about how float has been “life changing,” and I cannot begin to describe how much ick I felt. But—turns out, finance guy was right.

I wanted to try float because I have an extensive history of trauma: CSA, ED (Ana), teen runaway, multiple SAs, DV, sw, etc. I’m a cPTSD girlie.

I’ve been in therapy for decades. Talk therapy was ok, but things really started getting better when I began Somatic Experiencing—a kind of therapy the focuses on the body.

I wanted to try float because I wanted to cultivate a better relationship to my body and allow myself to process my trauma somatically.

And gurl…lemme tell you—this shizz is LIFE CHANGING.

Bless you, finance guy! You may have given me the ick, but you were So Right about Float.

To begin with, it’s not exactly relaxing. Well, it is—but not at first. It’s more of a process. Being alone with yourself and your body brings up a lot. But there’s no “wrong way” to do a float. Allow yourself to fidget, to move, to feel silly, to feel weird, to feel vulnerable. Allow yourself to just be.

What shocks me the most every time I float is how quickly the time passes. I do 90 minute floats in complete darkness and silence, and I’m always surprised when the music comes on signaling the end of my session.

It sounds crazy to even write this, but when I’m floating, it’s like the trauma is literally leaving my body as I allow myself to feel the roiling ugly mess of my emotions in my body.

Since I began floating, I’ve been seeing a huge improvement in emotional regulation and self compassion. I’m not beating myself up when I start crying and shaking for no reason. I can now let myself feel my feelings, process them, and allow them to move on. I imagine myself floating, and I can let my emotions float away.

Give float a try. It’s...

An amazing first time experience! I heard about this place over a year ago and was since interested in trying it out myself, but the price point - $100 for an hour session - seemed to be a bit unreasonable. What they fail to explain on their website is what the experience would be like once you step into the building. You come in, take your shoes off and sign in. Then, when you are assigned a room, you go in, shower your first time and then get into the pod/tank. Depending on which you choose, you either have sensual music in the pod or a starry-like ceiling light in the tank. You can adjust the volume of the music and choose to have the lights on/off. Then, you experience your floating session for one hour. You're trapped with your thoughts inside a giant bathtub while floating. There's nothing like it. When your hour is over, you can take a second shower to remove the excess salt from your body. Afterwards, there is a prepping room where you can dry your hair, use moisturizer, use the restroom, etc. Then, you are invited to sit and relax in the lounging area, where you can read, make tea, write in the provided journals (recommended), or reflect on your experience with other guests. Initially, the $100 seems the be an overkill, but ultimately you pay for an amazing experience - which actually lasts longer than an hour. Especially in today's world where we are so connected to life around us through our smartphones and other technologies, we need to disconnect every now and then and genuinely relax. To those who want to try it but aren't sure if the price is worth the experience, try the Introductory Float for $79. You get to tests the waters without paying...

As someone with a full life—married, children, and entrepreneurship—floating has proven to be a game-changer for me. It helps me connect with my heart, find self-warmth, embrace a state of love, sort through my thoughts, and gain clear guidance and insights. It's also been a powerful emotional healer over time.

What I appreciate about this place:

Genuine Warmth: The staff's sincere warmth before and after each float session enhances the experience. It's not just trained niceties; their genuine care, coupled with a family-like approach, creates a welcoming environment that enriches the overall journey. Conversations with David, the owner, and the staff truly add to the soothing atmosphere.

Womb-like Pods: Unlike other facilities, they offer pods as well, which I find incredibly comforting. Being inside the pod feels like being in a safe, protected womb, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the present moment. It deepens my meditation and self-compassion.

Strong Filtration System: What sets this place apart is its robust filtration system. Knowing that the filtration is top-notch makes me feel comfortable and reassured about the cleanliness and safety of immersing my body in the water.

I'm deeply thankful to Dave and Gina, the owners, for pioneering floating in Brooklyn. Their dedication extends beyond business, fostering a warm and supportive environment. Their passion shines through, creating a space where clients feel genuinely cared for.

In conclusion, if you're seeking a transformative experience characterized by genuine warmth, safety, reliability, and dedicated owners, this is the...
