(Excuse my language) This local Thai Restaurant is one of the few authentic places to get great Thai food with such great portions. The food is just how my aunts and uncles make it which means its close to home. Why the one star? Was the food burnt, did they skimp out on the Thai iced tea, or did they give out the apps after the main course??? Well this very evening, my girlfriend and I, who always eat here when we crave Thai food, walked in and this rude white haired host gave my girl the finger, the god damn finger, and had one of those rude attitudes. I couldnt believe it, the moment I saw his finger went up, I thought he was pointing at his fake hair do, or his weirdly angled shaped cheek bones, but no, he gave us his weird skinny looking finger. My god I lost it, At that very moment, I wanted to toss his fake hair do out the window. My blood was stirring, and as we sat down, we locked eyes through the funny shaped glasses, I gave him the stare like when Anakin was about to kill all the younglings (Photo below). As like "you better apologize to my girl, but more importantly to me" but all this piece of ** did was hide behind those glasses, like a youngling. If you go to this place, and you see this guy, he's the only funny looking one there, give him the stare and watch him disappear in the back lolol.
Now on to the food, we ordered chicken wings for apps, and this was a first time but the guy who I presume made them went out of the kitchen and delivered it to the table. I wanted the tip to go to this guy, the guy with the strong mustache, thats some damn awesome service. The waiter was cool too, refilled my water, gave me jalapeño for my woman. Completely unacceptable behavior as the front face to your restaurant. Understand, a host giving their customers the finger the moment they walk in and ask for a table is a great way to lose customers. However, my girlfriend has vowed not to ever come back here due to the incident with this person and I agree, as we paid and left, I couldn't find this guy anywhere before I left. EDIT FROM RESPONSE: The date I went to eat at spicy shallot was at August 15th. My girl and I arrived at dinner time, she was wearing a dress and I was wearing a dark shirt I believe. Right after 8pm. we were seated on the left side of the restaurant...
Read moreWe really had a terrible experience at this place. We were there to celebrate our friend’ birthday however, it was all ruined by the restaurant manager who was so rude and unprofessional to us. Food was great as always it has been. My friend was about to order drinks and she waved and no one noticed. Hence, she just tried to reached out to the manager and then he was like don't touch me. Who on the hell would talk to their customers like this. It’s the BIG NO!!!!! I wouldn’t recommend this place as it lack to carry the value of its customers and hospitality! The waitress were embarrassed by their boss behavior and were kind enough, offered us some free We really had a terrible experience at this place. Read moreThe food is seriously good. No doubt about it. But the reason to give one star is because of the service. I’ve been to this place many times and never had an issue. 2 days ago, I went this place for diner with 2 of my friends for dinner. I wanted to get a bottle of red wine, but the server said they don’t do bottle service . This was little weird for me because every time I go there with my husband for dinner, we always get bottle of wine. Then, we ordered food including 3 appetizer, two wines, iced tea and 3 order of different kind of sushi. After 15 min my 2 other friends coincidentally showed up. So we sat down together. Later, one tan, chubby gay server came to our table and directly ask my friends “ do you anything ?” In a hella rude way. The customer next to us head us and were stunned. And I even felt embarrassed. Still I was calm and thought that maybe I’m just thinking too much. They ordered their drinks and sushi’s. So, now were 5 people in total. Later when we got our food, we were given 4 plates. I asked server for one more plate. Then we’re given 2 chopsticks. I again asked for more. I already felt like the server do not like our presence. Our sushi was almost finished but they didn’t give us soy sauce. I thought maybe they forgot so I asked them some soy sauce . But they gave us 2 sauce bowl only. We were not even done with our food but the guy he came back and took our plates. I have never felt so humiliated like this before. Then I notice the usual skinny guy, I guess the manager was not around. Then I realize maybe that’s why they didn’t care. I remember the manager was always nice and very attentive. I’m so heart broken with the service and I’m not...
