I recently held my wedding at this venue. The venue itself is very beautiful and gorgeous. However, the service provided was absolutely horrible. After we signed the contract, the experience went downhill every moment of the way.
The sales/manager Antonio(Tony) was pretty much the only person we met with until the day of the event. He is a nice guy, but he can be rude and come of racist at times. He was very rude to our event planner at one of the meetings. She had a question about how the sparklers would work (how many times and for how long). He blantely cut her off while she was trying to understand the process and put her down for trying to clarify something. Which I thought was absolutely unacceptable.
One of the issues with ONLY dealing with Tony was that some of the information that he relayed wasn't completely accurate on the day of the event. Such as having the dj booth platform be shorter or accommodating a grooms suite. Tony stated that those accommodations couldn't be made. However, on the day of the event, the maitre d (who we met with the first time) said the dj booth platform could have been made shroter if he was given more notice. Then, the bridal attendant on the day of the event explained to me that she could make some room to accommodate a Grooms suite even though I had rented a Limo Sprinter to act as a Grooms suite (addtional cost for no reason). All these last-minute changes made the day a little bit more hectic than it needed it to be. If Tony had just introduced us to the people who would be there during the event, we could have had the process go much smoother.
One of the other major issues that we faced during the day of the event was the 3rd party staff that the venue hired for the valet and coat check. The valet tried to charge my immediate family 20$ a car to park near the venue entrance. Not only that, the valet guys tried to hustle my guest to get tips. Same thing with the coat check staff. They were braiding my guests for tips. Luckily, ONLY one of my guests had checked his coat, and he didn't have any cash but offered to zelle the guy after he blatantly asked for a tip. Since he didn't accept zelle, he told my guest to go get cash in order to get his coat back. Luckily it was a good friend and he was young so he didn't make a big fus about it. However, if it was one of my elderly family members, then the situation would have been very embarrassing. All of these services were included in the premium price, and gratuity was optional for the servcies. I have been in the service business myself, and you never directly ask for tips. You understand that some people might not tip, but some tip more, which makes up for those who didn't tip. It was just absolutely disastrous.
Me and my wife looked at other venues that were very nice. However, we decided to go with Illagio because of the close proximity for all of our guests and the beauty of the venue. However, if I had known that the service would be like this, I would have never had my wedding here. That's...
Read moreI had my wedding here and unfortunately the place is beautiful but these people have no idea how to run a catering hall. First of all i was never told that the juice bar was going to be a help yourself style with bottles of soda...how cheap does that look? Second of all it took almost the entire time of my party to get the food out. Never in my life have I seen any place bring out fish first then steak then chicken. So half the table is eating and the other half isn't? That messed up my entire schedule and messed up my DJ. Third of all i had made a wedding collage video and i asked them several times to play it ahead of time and make sure the picture and sound works. The day of the wedding they play the video without the sound and the entire thing has to be repeated again with sound. It made it look soo sloppy. I had several guests complain to me about the disgusting wait staff that was just rude and had no business working there. And karina was the abdolute worst banquet manager i have ever dealt with. She never solved any of our problems or did anything we asked of her. Also i had to run after her before the wedding to even get the arrangements done. They only call you when they want you to pay. And you only see Antonio in the beginning when he gets you to sign the contract after that good luck getting in touch with him...honestly I was expecting so much more from this place and was greatly disappointed..it's beautiful yea but not worth the money or the hassle...i would recommend going somewhere that knows how to treat their customers..i know i will never recommend this place to anyone and my guests were completely...
Read morePlanning a wedding can be one of the most stressful and time consuming thing you can do. Ilya makes this the most joyful and easiest event you will ever plan.
We came in not really knowing where to start and where to find people. We met with him and don't let him fool you he takes a personal interest in you and your event. Ilya guided us to who we need and even gave us his recommendations and suggestions and was genuinely honest about we needed and what we didn't (we went to another vendor and the ladies goal was clear she just wanted money). He was able to get us in contact with people we would have never have gotten without him. Any issue we had, he came in and helped by either speaking with the vendor or finding another vendor. If we had any worries or concerns about the event, Ilya did everything to put at ease including allowing us to try the food and see an event take place the event. I had special requests and almost all requests were fulfilled, including having a none- traditional salad (It was awesome). The chef listened to our concerns and asked questions. Most chefs just nod and say ok, but he asked, if we want something with some spice or no spice. Ilya and chef genuinely cared about the food he was serving at our wedding. My wedding was on November 19th. Since the wedding, people still talk about it complementing everything from the food to the venue itself. Ilya help make this one of the best day in our lives. We will be coming back for more events; because with Ilya we aren't just putting an event together we are celebrating...
