Pan American Hotel — Hotel in New York

I would give zero stars if I could . I understand that it is a shelter that makes my experience even more ironic because a shelter is meant to be a place where people care for others in some way. The men in the front of the place lack common decency when dealing with a person (a fellow human being). I was in the area and I needed to pee so badly that I was about to urinate all over myself. I begged and pleaded with them to just let me use the bathroom for literally 1 minute and I was told that I was not allowed to do so. That is not a way that any person should ever treat another person. We are both human beinings and I was not treated humanely. It is just plain wrong to do that to a person. I understand that it is not a hotel but the decent human thing to do is let a person use the bathroom instead of making them urinate all over themselves . It is very disappointing and very upsetting, to know that someone would do something like that to...

This morning after I got out of the multi shaded shower, I had a choice between a towel with a bunch of stains, or a towel with a large hole in it. I say this morning loosely because it was actually closer to noon, due to the fact that I couldn't sleep because my room is a million degrees, and the floors bounce because of the night club next door. I have to leave the window open to maintain a livable temperature.

Because I slept late I put the do no disturb sign on the door. Apparently this acts as an invitation for the maids to randomly open my door throughout the day, and then proceed to argue with me that they need to service the room. I would call the front desk and complain, except the phone in my room...

Nothing to brag about this hotel. It's cheap, so that's a plus. Conveniently located close to a subway (10 min brisk walk), and reasonably priced compared to the other alternatives. There is a lot of noise Sat nights till 4am from a club nearby. Don't stay here if you're a light sleeper.

Great place if you want to stay for cheap and don't need anything other than a bed for the night.
