Steinway Halal Grill — Restaurant in New York

Had Steinway Grill for dinner tonight and I'm sooo glad that I did! With so many great choices on Steinway Street this is the vendor that I always wanted to try but never got the chance until tonight. I ordered the Chicken Kabab platter which was I believe $12.00. It came with 2 types of rice AND 2 bowls of soup! 1 was "tomatoie" with alittle bit of vermecilli and carrots the other one was leafy I dont know exactly what that was but it was delicious!!!!! My husband got the half chicken platter which was pretty good but I like the kabab more I think it has more flavor then the half chicken but my husband liked the half chicken more! Lol anyway delicious food!!! And great customer service!!! I was pulled over across the street from them and the guy was soooooo kind he delivered the food to my car. Absolutely unprofessional. I was told 30 minutes for my order and ended up waiting over an hour and a half—for just two half chicken with rice plates, not a big catering order. Meanwhile, people who came after me were being served first, simply because they spoke Arabic and were being slipped ahead in line by the guy managing orders.

This is unacceptable for any business, especially in the heart of a food hub where customers have endless options. After a 13-hour shift, the last thing I should deal with is blatant favoritism and complete disregard for paying customers.

This little cart packs so much flavor into a silver tray of food! I am so glad a friend showed me this place.

The chicken is extremely juicy, with crispy edges. The rice has two different kinds, and the flavor profiles are aromatic and a little smokey. Typically a meal comes with two soups, salad, rice and your main. Which is a lot of food for what they charge.

I would suggest ordering in person if possible, saves you a lot of money. I do however order on their app often, it’s that good!
