We came here for dinner with a group (someone made a reservation in advance). We were about 11 people or so. I really enjoyed the Aryan yogurt drink. Be warned it's salty and not sweet (but that was a pleasant surprise for me). It cost $4. I also got a Winter Spiced Cranberry Sprite, which was $3. You could probably skip that. There is no tap water in the restaurant so if you get thirsty (which you probably will), you'll have to buy a drink. They were out of mint lemonade, which I was sad about. The appetizer they served us were crispy fried pita-like chips which were soooo good with hummus which was also soooo delicious. I think it had lemon or lime juice on it and that was incredible. The garlic sauce and tahini sauce are made with mayonnaise so be warned. I asked them if they could leave it off my mixed shawarma and they kindly complied. If you don't ask they automatically put it on. I wish I had gotten chicken shawarma only. I thought the chicken shawarma and the chicken kebab was much tastier than the lamb shawarma (juicier, softer and more tender). They may serve you pieces of a large green pepper. Watch out! This green pepper is incredibly spicy and hot! My group said the kofta tasted good but I didn't try any. Also, the menu said parties of three or more must pay 17% gratuity automatically. They do take American Express which is a blessing. They will also provide a to-go container if you don't finish your food. The mixed shawarma platter came with two sides or salad and cost around $12.99 or $12.50. I got baba ghanouj and eggplant. The eggplant was a little spicy and tomato-y. It was like moussaka. The baba ghanouj was fantastic. I wish I had just ordered that. It said it came with pita but since we were a large party and since I had eaten so many pita chips in the beginning I just declined my portion of pita. They also provided red cabbage (pretty good), red beets(?) and pickles. I enjoyed the beets and the pickles were good, although, they were just pickles. But it was nice to get them. Along with the green pepper pieces I received two slices of tomato (I ate one and took one home, it was ok) and a wedge of onion. The onion wasn't cooked to my liking (it was still a bit raw and spicy) but some people might like it like that.

Zyara Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious cuisine and inviting atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm ambiance that sets the stage for a memorable meal with family and friends. The food here is undeniably great, boasting freshness and flavor that leave taste buds craving more. Whether you're craving traditional favorites or eager to try something new, Zyara delivers on both fronts. The service at Zyara is commendable, with attentive staff ensuring that orders are taken promptly and meals are served without delay. This makes it an ideal spot for those seeking a quick bite or a leisurely meal with loved ones. However, one downside is the absence of popular soda options like Coca-Cola or Sprite, which may disappoint some guests. Another drawback is the extended wait times, particularly during peak hours, which can test the patience of hungry diners. Additionally, it's disappointing to discover that sharing dishes incurs an additional charge of nearly $8, which seems excessive and detracts from the overall dining experience. Despite these drawbacks, Zyara remains a top choice for those seeking delicious Middle Eastern cuisine in a vibrant setting. With its delectable food, welcoming atmosphere, and efficient service, it's no wonder that Zyara continues to attract diners looking for a great meal shared among friends and family. However, improvements in wait times and pricing policies for shared dishes would undoubtedly enhance the overall dining experience for guests.

So I drove 50 miles to queens from Suffolk county to enjoy good lunch with friends on his recommendation for a good Turkish food at zyara in queens. But to our bad luck we encountered this waiter who was in a real bad mood. First when we entered the restaurant for lunch at around 2:30 pm , he asked us not to sit as the restaurant is not open yet . So left the restaurant with heavy heart. We tried to look around for some other restaurant but thought to check one more time so with in 5 mins we came back to ask if we can get something to go. But to our shocking surprise we see people moving in. Than we confronted them and they let us sit. This waiter was continued talking rudely. But than the owner came and started talking loudly for no reason saying everyone has a complaint . Not realizing that his waiter was nasty. When we explained the owner , whole thing and bad behavior of his worker . He started the argument saying his waiter was right. To sn extent he went so nasty that he said you can leave right now but at that moment we were already ordered the food. I ordered chicken adna but the dish the same waiter brought was a dry , full of silt & horrible kind of grill chicken. I called him and asked him is this Adna Kiobab? Instead explaining he started arguing me that has I ever had chicken adna, on my reply yes , he said we make it differently , in a very rude way. We left the restaurant and will never go back. I told the owner that it doesn’t matter how busy you are but be always respectful to your customers. Never going back

Detailed review beware! Food is legit. Very busy restaurant, it was full on sunday. I wanted chicken sherwerma but they said it would take 20 min more so then i asked for whatever they had yet the food took 34 minutes for two sherwermas[ one beef the other falafel]. They had full house and uber orders. Honestly, I didnt mind because when you go in and see the fresh bread that they make from scratch plus the salad and meat all look fresh and tender so i knew it was worth it. It was my first time and have tried many different sherwermas like duzan so I am open to something different. While we waited they sent over hummus with some type of chips that were homemade. The salad that came with sherwerma was quality but they could of added something like salad inside the sherwerma since it tasted a bit dry from missing something. Although, I got full from the hummus and not everyone would bring you free appetizer but then again 34 minutes was alot. The mint lemonade that we ordered was way too sweet (still overdosed on sugar) and simple as if it was their first time making it. I honestly thought the mint lemonade would be similar to the one they have in middle east where they actually grind the lemons with it. Regardless the falafel was soft and tender the beef sherwerma was fulfilling. The sauces need improving. Maybe tahini sauce on the table in stead of garlic mayonnaise or hotsauce that is not too bitter. I would definitly go back again but not order the same thing. I am betting on the chicken platter.

I have been coming here since 2019. This place is my favorite go to place for two years. I come with different people everytime and everytime I loveeee the food. The people who come with me also loves this place. Because the food quality of this restaurant is the BEST in Astoria. I don’t like other restaurant foods from Astoria anymore. Last time I came to order my pickup on May for Iftari, May 8th, but the lady manager, I believe her name was Laila, she was very rude and was misbehaving with the coworkers. She was yelling at the chefs and acting rude with the customers. She even gave me wrong change of my money. That was the only time I had inconvenience in this restaurant. I thought she would be here today, but she wasn’t thankfully. I went there with my family today and it was their first time. They are willing to be a regular customer here. They loved the food. Today a lady named elvi served us the food and took care of us. She was so kind and polite. She made us feel welcomed. 10000 points for her hahaha. Also, the guy who is taking the mobile orders in the restaurant today, the one with the cap on also was very nice with us. The chefs has magic on their hands to make the food this awesome. This place is a gem!
