If you are the proprietor or general manager, please advise your staff. I own a business in the area and would like myself, my patrons, and guests to safely walk in front of your establishment.
I don't know your coffee, but your staff does not care about neighborhood residents and puts them in harm's way by parking their van angled on the sidewalk on a very busy street. I tried to warn the driver about the hazard this creates, and he ignored me and walked away as I was speaking. I proceeded to enter the establishment to notify the supervisor, and he spoke to me but disregarded my concerns. I explained that as I stepped into the street because there was no room on either side of the van, due to its position, a bike was going to crash into me. Instead of asking the driver to park their van at least 2 feet from the curb so pedestrians can safely walk, he provided excuses and pointed out that Con-Ed also has the sidewalk blocked. They do, but they have cones that can easily be moved by pedestrians (Incident occurred on 10/18/2021 at around 9am - rush hour).
Next time, I will take a picture and file a...
Read moreWhile staying around the corner at the Dream Downtown hotel, I was NEEDING some coffee one morning. I thought I would make it to Starbucks being such a sucker for those gold stars accumulating on my app for a free drink, but ended up being gravitationally pulled into Stone Street.
This seems counter-intuitive, but the walk-up window made me walk inside. Everyone outside just looked so happy. Their dogs looked happy. The barista helping them looked happy.
Once inside, I saw there was not much seating area, but the service was exceptional and made me wish I was a local.
I ordered a blueberry scone (the pastries are from Amy's Bread) and a soy latte. They have Guatemalan coffee, which makes the coffee dark (almost bitter), but really good.
Being just down the street from Chelsea market, you should make your way over to this little place. All that happiness and they have a membership program for all of you that are as neurotic as me about your accumulation toward free...
Read moreI've ordered stone Street coffee online several times and I've loved all their coffee except one. And I've given 5 stars reviews on their coffees. And I give that one bad coffee an quick honest 1 star review on their website. Which is when I noticed that review never was approved and then I noticed that none of there coffees on their website have anything under a 4 star review they block all 3 star or under it seems so stonestreet is a dishonest company. Also their grinds are incredibly inconsistent. I just ordered 5 different coffees all in coarse grind, but one is medium or maybe even a fine grind. 2 are like a medium coarse grind like you would expect and 2 are more what I'd call just crushed I mean it's big chunks of beans. I've tried to call them on this matters but the phone never gets picked up so this review can just sit here for now. Think this will be my last order as well sadly since I like there coffee but hey maybe act little less like a company...
