As someone who has mostly shopped for houseplants almost exclusively at big box stores for the last several years, like Lowes and Home Depot, I was surely glad to have stumbled upon this amazing plant shop. They have an exquisite collection of some of the most beautiful and high quality plants I have ever seen, especially alocasias. They also have some philodendrons, quite a few begonias and a handful of peperomias. I purchased a beautiful alocasia and a begonia here for about $50 total. Most plants here are fairly priced, and a few are a bit overpriced, and they have some very large plants, which sell for hundreds of $$. After purchasing a few plants here for myself and my family members, they got me a plant at my request that I’ve been wanting to get for some time, and gave me close to 25% discount on it. I couldn’t be happier with it. I have 60 plants in my apartment and this is one of my top stars now! The pics posted here in my apt are all the plants I purchased here. And the owner/workers here are also very nice and knowledgeable, which is always helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend this amazing shop without any reservations!

I consider this place not just a plant store, but a soothing plant clinic, serial plant killers rehab center, and “am I doing it right?” support group all in one. Not to mention the beautiful living wall art and all sorts of unique plants that you might not find elsewhere. A year ago, I walked in for the first time and confessed my history of foliage fatalities. The friendly staff didn't judge; they set me up with a forgiving fern that's now thriving under my less-than-perfect care. Since then I've shamelessly tapped into their plant wisdom, and they've patiently diagnosed every wilt and worry. Recently, when my Pink Panther was on its last leg, I walked in again, ready to spend a fortune on whatever miracle fixes it might take, but Tom simply salvaged the cuttings and replanted them for me as a courtesy. Can’t recommend this gem enough. I’m now a happy plant lover reborn.

My roomie and I came to buy some planters, and we found Tom to be incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, with a clear passion for plants. He truly wanted us to help us find the planters that worked best for our plants, and encouraged us to choose some very affordable and attractive terra cotta planters that were the perfect size. He repotted the plants expertly, even drilling a new drainage hole in one planter, and answered all our questions about plant care. We were so impressed by the planters for sale made by ceramicist Lorraine that we ended up getting one too, along with a small angel wing begonia. Make sure to check out the living wall of plants — it's so stunning that it's hard to believe it's real, and it was fascinating to learn from Tom about how he fabricates them. So glad to support a great local business and two talented artists!

Tom was super friendly and knowledgeable. He indulged in my questions and made sure to discuss and use terms at my plant-knowledge level. He has awesome recommendations for any light source or crazy watering schedule you might need. So if you are in search for a plant for a particular spot, or a particularly plant-challenges person, he is a GREAT source to help you find the right one!

The living wall in the back of the store is seriously an amazing attraction. The couch is appropriately faced towards the spectacle so you can just sit and admire. I was a "window shopper" with no serious intent to buy, and I didn't feel disregarded or chased out of the store - I felt like I could walk around in circles and keep admiring plants until he closed and I would still be welcome.

He also supports local with pottery and blown glass from nearby artists and friends.

There are cheaper starter plants available, and also lots of awesome large and rare plants, so something for...

I really can’t say enough good things about this place!! As soon as you walk in, it’s such a peaceful, calm and lovely environment. Tom, the owner is so kind, thoughtful and helpful. He listened to what I was looking for very intently and helped me find two lovely plants that I am absolutely already in love with. I really hope to go back soon to enjoy the welcoming and chill environment of the store and just relax on the couch; it’s super curated with lovely art, ceramics from his girlfriend… and the plant wall… Just wow!! If you’re considering installing a plant wall in your business, home, etc., Tom constructs the entire piece to order from metal fabrication to custom work designing the plants. If anyone is in the market for a plant, please do yourself a favor and check out Brooklyn Horticulture. It’s a lovely establishment and I know you’ll be an amazing and capable...
