As someone who has frequented various Subway locations over the years, I have come to expect a certain standard of service that aligns with the brand's reputation for convenience and customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, my recent experience at this particular Subway location fell short of those expectations, prompting me to share my account in this detailed review.
On the day in question, I proceeded to place an online order for two sandwiches, aiming to take advantage of the convenience that comes with the ability to order ahead for pickup. This process should have been straightforward, but it quickly turned into a frustrating ordeal that wasted my time and left me without the meals I had anticipated.
Upon arriving at the store to pick up my order, I was met with confusion. The staff repeatedly stated that they had not received my online order. I remained patient, giving the system the benefit of the doubt and waiting around 15-20 minutes in the hopes that the order would eventually come through. However, it became increasingly clear that there was a disconnect somewhere along the line.
In a turn of events that only added to the frustration, I received an email notification from Subway informing me that my order had been canceled. The email suggested that if I had not personally canceled the order, I should seek clarification from the store. This put me in an awkward position, as the store personnel had previously insisted they had not received any order. Now, with the cancellation confirmed, I was left with no food and no answers.
Seeking clarity, I revisited subway.com and discovered that the store had been taken offline for online orders. This struck me as suspicious and led me to believe that the store personnel might have had a hand in canceling my order. I sought confirmation by contacting Subway's corporate customer service, which informed me that the website itself does not cancel orders except in cases of payment issues or technical difficulties. This further supported the notion that the cancellation had been the store's doing.
I decided to test my theory by placing an identical order at a nearby Subway location. To my relief and satisfaction, that order was processed flawlessly, and my sandwiches were ready for pickup without any hitches, which starkly contrasted with my experience at the first location.
It is worth noting that my original order had utilized a promo code, leading me to speculate that this Subway location may be selectively fulfilling orders based on their own criteria, potentially declining those that use promo codes to avoid losing revenue. This is purely conjecture on my part, but it raises concerns about the fairness and customer service practices at this location.
In conclusion, the experience I had with this Subway location was highly disappointing. It showed a lack of communication between the online ordering system and the store, a possible disregard for customer service, and a questionable approach to handling promo code orders. In stark contrast, the nearby Subway location exhibited the efficiency and customer care I have come to expect from the brand.
For the sake of potential customers and the Subway brand's reputation, I hope that this review prompts the necessary improvements at this location. Customers should be able to rely on consistent service quality, regardless of which store they visit or whether they're using a promo code. Until such improvements are made, I will be taking my business to Subway locations that uphold the brand's standards and respect the value of their customers' time...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. The manager in the back is insanely rude to customers. His first line of defense at any crumb of a problem is either to yell at you, kick you out, or threaten to call the cops.
The issues are normally just everyday issues a subway store would encounter such as, asking for more veggies/cheese, using a coupon, etc. But he manages to choose the worst way to respond to every situation and the female employee in the front never knows how to solve any issue herself and always calls him for assistance.
If you could avoid this subway franchise, please do. It’ll be the worst experience of your life if the man the back leaves his den. Trust all the other numerous 1 star reviews and AVOID AT ALL COST. I literally would rather drive another 10 min to elmhurst if I really wanted...
Read moreThe majority of Subways are trash and way over-priced but the one on the corner of Queens Blvd next to the Dunkin Donuts on 61st Street Woodside is the WORST location of them all. Very rude and very obnoxious manager who is extremely cheap and a tyrant. This location never honors discount promotions. When I placed an order online for a BOGO (Buy 1 get 1 free) promotion this location was offering I got an email saying they cancelled my order 3 mins after I placed it. When I called the location to see why my order was canceled the nasty manager said "it was an error" that the location was not offering the promotion. Garbage shady location. Don't order from this location I guarantee you will regret it. Jersey Mike's has better tasting sandwiches and better customer...
