My mother in law ordered a $40 cake for Eid and paid a deposit of $20. When my brother in law went to pick up the cake the woman at the counter told him that another one of his family members must of picked up the cake because they don't have it. I went with my husband to talk to the woman. We still had our receipt and the sign in front says you cannot pick up a placed order without one. The woman tells us that the person who took our cake did not have a receipt but as a courtesy one of the managers gave him the cake anyway. Not sure how this is our problem so I requested a refund of the $20 deposit. She says she cannot give us a refund as they already gave away the cake. I ask to speak with the manager. She goes to the back and speaks to someone then comes back and says they'll check the cameras to see who the cake was given too (again, not sure how this matters) and tells us that manager we need to speak with is Jovany and he wont be in until the next day from 6am to 2pm. I asked her who was the person she was talking to in the back and she says that's Berna, the other manager, but he doesn't speak english. So we went back the next day around 10am. Another woman is there, we explain what happened and ask to speak with Jovany. She tells us Jovany wont be there until 2pm and that he was the manager the other woman was talking to the evening before. She told us that he always does that (pretends he's not there and can't speak english) because he doesn't like dealing with confrontation. How ridiculous is that?? My husband returns at 2pm and again explains what happened as there was a different woman at the counter. She heads to the back, talks to Jovany, returns and hands him the $20. All this back and forth because the manager "didn't want to deal with confrontation". Mistakes happen, all he had to do was say sorry and return the money. Instead, he decided to be pathetic and hide in...
Read moreI recently ordered the friday of Valentine’s Day weekend 2 dozen orders of cupcakes for my two kids class & decided what colors and flavors I wanted with one of the employee working there which seemed to be a younger female. Anyways I specifically told her I’d be coming in the Monday morning at 8:30 am to pick up the cake & when I got there they said in the receipt was for 8:30pm!! I was livid bc I paid the whole entire amount already 93 bucks just to come in to the store with a cake and picking out whatever cupcakes was left! Not to mention a different much older lady kept giving me attitude and didn’t seem as if she cared or sorry at all! She was rude as I kept telling her what kind of business you have someone working here and taking orders but this isn’t the first time they messed up my order. She said there wasn’t nothing she could to bc it wasn’t her who took my order! She was no help at all. Another time I bought a cake for my daughter birthday and the same thing happened with the dates my cake was made a whole 2 days ahead of time and there was no mistake on the receipt ! It’s unacceptable, don’t get me wrong their cakes are amazing & tastes really good , my kids love it, but when we spend so much time & money making sure we get what we want for any occasion and there’s this many mistakes for an order it just the worst experience ever! Especially when customer is upset and your being rude,...
Read moreUpdate 2/2022- We still love this bakery but it would be nice if there was a line for order pickups on the left of the main counter and if I could order online and pay by credit card. They would make so much more money if they accepted credit cards. Millennials and Gen Z use credit cards, apple pay, samsung pay, zelle, cash app, etc. I hope that they upgrade their ordering and payment method and stay open for a very long time.
We loved this bakery since they opened up a few years ago. They make an excellent tres leches cake that I had bought for an office party. I also go here a few times a month for the small cannolis, cookies, macaroons and the fruit tarts, tiramisu, and cheesecake. I haven't tried the empanadas because by the time I go, they're usually done, but I am going to get up early one day and get then. They have a whole menu of sandwiches on the back wall. I plan to try some of them. If they're as good as the cakes and cookies, I'm sure that they...
