Bought my daughter's birthday cake here. Came in on a Sunday afternoon to taste the flavors and choose which ones I wanted in the cake. I got a 6 inch cake, with 2 flavors, for $25. The cake is definitely big enough for 6 adult size servings and we are huge ice cream people so the servings are not chintzy either. I think you can easily serve 8 people with the 6 inch cake. I got black sesame and taro for my cake. I only gave them 48hr notice for my cake, which was not a problem at all.Their ice cream is so creamy and delicious. Plus the old couple who run the shop are very nice and helpful. I also ended up buying a pint of milk tea ice cream to take home. A pint costs $6.50. So delicious. I can't wait to try more flavors from this place. I hear their lychee ice cream is also a top seller. When I picked up my cake, the shopkeeper even gave me free candles. How sweet. I definitely recommend this place for all of your unique ice...
Read moreHeard about this place from a relative. After eating dim sum we took the hike down there 20 deep to have their durian ice cream. We got in front of it and the open sign was not lit up and was disappointed then a shadow within was moving and our hope was rekindled. We asked for the durian ice cream but they sold out. Disappointed again, until we tried their other flavors, taro, sesame seed mango oh my. This place is a very small but very popular. The old man behind the counter wasn’t very graceful with the large crowd but was happy to see the little kids eagerly waiting for their cones to be handed to them. A crowd started to form behind us as everyone was wondering why the big crowds. I see why they are so popular. Their ice cream is perfectly balanced with...
Read moreAfter standing at the counter for several minutes for the only guy working at the store to come around and take my order, as a first time customer I asked a simple question of how much ice cream is in a small serving. The guy first answered that it's more than one scoop. I asked again implying him showing me the serving cup, as I'm trying to watch my intake. He then immediately walked off from the counter, waved his hand dismissively, said the place is not for me, and my question is apparently very stupid. And it "makes him feel stupid". I was going to bring several friends to try the place out however I'm glad I came here alone first, as at least my friends now don't have to have this...
