I have been to District numerous times but this time was the most disappointing. We came in at about 12:30 for some Sunday football before we headed over to the Garden for the afternoon Knicks game. It was the final week in the regular season and the Jets, my team, were fighting for the last playoff spot.

We sat at the bar because last time I was in the service was slow. The service was faster at the bar but poor bar tending. Twice I asked to try something on their draft menu and twice I was handed a full pint. The first time I let it go, she might not have heard me or something. But the second time when she came back with my cider, that I just wanted to try before ordering a full pint, I brought it up to our bartender that I only wanted to try. All she had to say was, "Its good I promise". I am sorry but no it wasn't, way to sweet for my taste hence why I wanted to try it.

The food is always good here but I was really surprised they only serve brunch from 11-4 Sundays and Saturdays. No regular menu which limited us to what we could eat. We had the wings which are always good and the duck fat fries. My brother had the burger with fries and I ordered the spinach salad. No complaints on the quality of food but I was really disappointed we couldn't order from the full menu.

Maybe next time I eat somewhere else during Sunday football and come back here for drinks or maybe I just come here in the evenings like usual when they have...

NEVER NEVER EVER go to Tap House!!! They should rename themselves CRAP HOUSE!!! My wife and I made the horrible mistake of going there for their happy hour. The place is a hole-in-the-wall! It's dank and dusty and the furnishings and decor are hideous and in need of repair, but we were already there and decided maybe the drinks are good...WRONG!!! They were weak, they tasted watered down.

We decided to finish up quick and check out. When we notice the bartender didn't even give us the happy hour price. She charged us regular price. I didn't argue I gave her my card, we left, never to return.

However, when I checked my account TAP HOUSE took additional money from my account. I called and called and all I got was a run around. So we went back and was told Tim the manager will take care of it. I left all necessary info. and Tim never handled the matter. He is a poor excuse of a mgr. it's been a month already. They are LIARS and THIEVES at Tap House. They also have a B rating, which will soon drop to a C at this rate. A F wouldn't shock me. It doesn't even deserve the one star I was forced to give it in order to post this review!!!

I'm still pursuing this matter. Do yourself a GIANT favor and avoid this Trap House. Your time and hard earned money deserves better!!! Be warned...STAY AWAY!!! There are way better bars...

My 2 brothers and I took at trip to Queens for the Mets series this past weekend (Aug 12-14), attending the games Friday and Saturday night, but then chose Tap House on Sunday to watch Chelsea v Tottenham, and then the 1:40pm Mets game. All I can say is this:

Timmy, the bartender that day (and the owner), is THE MAN. Such a great experience taking in the games at a neighborhood bar who accepted 3 dudes from North Carolina like we were their own. The food was awesome, and some of the best wings i've ever had. Timmy knows what he is doing, and it shows. He made our experience extremely enjoyable, and there is no doubt in my mind that we will be back at that bar in the near future enjoying the games and laughs.

This place is awesome and i HIGHLY recommend popping in for a beer and wings. Five star service, good laughs, great food, and cold drinks. The best of the...

Stopped by on a stroll along Austin street for the Monday - Friday half price menu special. My order of med hot chicken wings was on point albeit a bit dry from not enough sauce. and came with an ample portion of celery and carrots. When the waitress asked how things were I asked for an it more wing sauce which she brought but charged me for (50cents) without indicating there would be a charge. Oh well not too bad really. Anyway it was apparent she wasn't thrilled with me as I only ordered the half price wings and a glass of water. Still she did her job and I enjoyed the wings. What I did not enjoy was the smell of cigarettes coming from the kitchen door that was open. Yuck. Would come back but sit up front next time. They had a lot of specials posted so guessing biz is a bit slow.

Tap Room is a great spot to grab a bite and a drink, especially if you're in the neighborhood for a show at Forest Hills Stadium. I stopped in before a recent concert and was impressed. The beer selection is solid with some craft beers on tap as well as the standard stuff selection. We ordered some food, including wings and sandwiches, and everything was delicious. The food was hot and well-prepared. What really stood out was the service. The bartenders were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. It’s clear they take pride in their work. Overall, Tap Room offers great beer, great food, and great service. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a drink or food before a show.
