It's solid but considering the area a bit mediocre. I don't want to be too critical; I'd absolutely eat here if I was in the area and wanted a pit stop. But it's not up to El Mariachi's or La Diagonal's standard. Still, go for a light bite if you have a hankering. I do recommend the Baja fish tacos, as their lightly battered fish is moist and airy, and their sauce goes well with that fish. $16 is a lot for two tacos but that turns out to be four pieces of fish and fish is not cheap. So I'm OK with those prices for Manhattan. The breakfast burrito was too carb-heavy, the beans need to be fried and smoothed more. $18 is too much considering the ingredients and technique here are not special (the eggs aren't particularly smooth, for example). I know Frederic Douglass Boulevard is bougie but still, $12 is a better price point. The torta's bread needed air and was too compressed especially for not being grilled. Also, the vegetables were raw slices instead of raw pieces. As a result the sandwich is harder to eat. I recommend they at least slice the onion a bit more. $16 for that torta is too much, same issue, El Mariachi is $10 so if they want to say they're elevated, ok fine $12?

Love this new Taqueria spot. The menu is simple but SO good. I have yet to have anything on there I didn’t love, but particular shout out to the fish tacos and shrimp tacos. Also just the simple guac and chips are fantastic. Chips are clearly homemade and easily the best I’ve had in Harlem. They also do a great brunch menu and now have a full cocktail menu including margaritas. Only critique would be that they still have work to do on the atmosphere as it’s pretty bare bones. But perhaps that’s part of the charm. The service is so friendly and the food quality is just so fantastic. I kept searching for genuinely good Mexican food in central Harlem and am so happy that now I’ve finally found it!

My boyfriend and I were excited to see a New Mexican place. Cantina across the street is wild and I prefer a quieter setting. My boyfriend went to get us some margaritas and Al Pastor tacos. 1- the tacos were so good. Tender meat, awesome sauce and soft corn tortillas. 2- the margaritas are good. Sweet and great amount of alcohol. My only disappointment is I asked for a hibiscus and my boyfriend told the server for a hibiscus margarita for me. When he took the margaritas out, it was brown. I instantly knew it was Tamarind. My boyfriend was upset for me but the drink is good. I’d like to give them a try again.

My mom and I have been coming to this restaurant since they opened. It’s right next to a nail salon we both go to. Their food is delicious and we never had a problem with them under we decided to uber eats them rather than go in person (since neither of us had a nail appointment) everything was fine expect for the guacamole. It didn’t look fresh and on top of that it was halfway full. Usually, they always fill it to the top. We have spent 2 days trying to get ahold of a manager with no progress. The first time we called they said the manager wouldn’t be in until 4. So, we called at 4:30 and it went from “the manager will be in at 4” to “Oh we don’t know when he will be in next.” I just went in today because I had a nail appointment. The employee was nice enough but he couldn’t do anything either. The food is good, but be warned about trying to order via uber eats. We never had this problem with them until we decided to do delivery instead of in person. Seems like their kitchen likes to put less quantity for delivery orders. If they continue to do things in bad faith it will be seen as...
