I would say this is one of the worst Thai spots in New York City. On the bright side, the outdoor atmosphere was nice, and the service was amicable, but the food was simply horrible. Please do not waste your time or money eating here. I had the pad kee mao and ginger sauce dishes with beef and while the portions were hefty and will fill you up, I felt that the taste and quality of food was lacking. The vegetables, as you can see in the pictures, look grimy and appear to not have been washed. I appreciate the abundance of vegetables on the dishes but there appeared to be some rotten cuts of vegetables that left little to be desired. I found the noodles on my pad kee mao to be quite soggy and over cooked, whereas the ginger sauce dish was very salty and the rice needed to be mixed in to balance the salinity of the dish. I also wish there was some spice and finesse to the dishes served. While the plates may have been colorful, I was not fully satisfied with the flavors of each dish. Would I come back here again? Absolutely not. I don’t think this restaurant does Thai food justice, and the quality of food and flavors do not reflect the vibrancy and essence of the cuisine whatsoever.

This place is such a warm, cozy spot in Harlem. I hadn’t seen Papa Thai despite having been around the area for years — its unassuming location may make you skip it. But make no mistake, once you step into Papa Thai you’re greeted by the warm air of a grandmother’s home. The wooden tables, sweet, slow jazz immersing you in a world of calm totally outside the chaos of the rest of the city. Came on a Sunday night and we were the only ones there, but the food was fresh, perfectly spiced, and loaded with perfectly assorted vegetables. Their bathroom is very clean and feels like a space to relax and their toilet paper is of high quality. Please don’t skip Papa Thai when you’re in Harlem. It’s a must go. Our group stayed for an extra 1 hr talking because we didn’t want to leave the sanctuary that was clearly meticulously crafted here.

The appetizer was great and i loved the tom yum soup. Creamy seafood base with plenty of tofu. When i served myself the curry i noticed something was off. I looked into the container it was packaged in and the potatoes tasted foul with a slightly sour smell to them. There was also this growth inside most. Very unsightly. The potatoes were cut up so im left with the impression that the cooks were aware of the condition. The broth tasted of unwashed veggies. The order arrived early and i was excited since i dined here previously and had a great experience. Dont rush to get orders out so quickly that you forget to care about the quality. A good business gives a service that makes people want to come back. Not make a gamble. Have people come hungry and leave happy! Not scared and sick 😅

A few days ago, my wife and I, together with some friends, had the pleasure of dining at this Thai restaurant, and we couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into a warm and friendly atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home. The food was outstanding! My wife absolutely loved their Pad Thai noodles and noodle soup — both were full of authentic flavor and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. What stood out the most was the level of service. The owner personally looked after the guests, making sure everyone was happy and comfortable. That kind of personal touch is rare and truly made our visit memorable. On top of all this, the prices are very reasonable, which makes the experience even better. We left not only full but also with big smiles, having enjoyed great food, great company, and a lot of fun. We and our friends highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Thai food, excellent service, and a...

I ordered delivery from here on seamless just now. Have ordered before and liked it already, but I think they may have improved some things in the kitchen recently because it tasted even BETTER. The crab Rangoon are extra large now and are super savory and oozing with the cream cheese and crab/veggie mixture. Super nice sauce too. The pad kee mao was delicious. i would say they probably base their spice/flavor level on the neighborhood- a lot of older white people on upper west side. but if you order the spiciest level, it is very delicious and not overwhelming at all. i would imagine the lowest level of spice may be a little bland for thai standards, so i would recommend getting at least medium. Panang curry was so thick and savory and delicious. Everything was extra bomb! And good prices too. I never write long reviews 😂 but saw some negative ones here and had to...
