New to the neighborhood, my girlfriend and I ran into Manuel one morning as he and his family were opening the restaurant. After talking with them we decided to go for dinner later that week.

Upon arrival we’re greeted by the kindest server, a man named Luis who treated us like family. We ordered steak enchiladas, steak tacos, and tacos al pastor. Starting with the enchiladas, I will dream about them every night until I return to this restaurant, which I will do frequently. The steak is incredibly tender and flavorful to the point where I have to wonder what kind of magic Manuel works in the kitchen. The al pastor is just as remarkable - after being marinated for two days that comes as no surprise. Halfway through our meal Manuel came to speak with us and share some wisdom behind his cooking. Oh man, their food is dangerously delicious! I found myself eating here 3 times last week and I won’t lie, maybe I’m here right now because I’m getting ready to order again 😅😅😅 . Some of my favorites so far have been their chicken and steak tacos and also their steak quesadilla. Their guacamole is fresh and tasty and hands down, their chips and salsa is unmatched!!! They also make fresh natural juices. So far I’ve had their tamarindo juice and the guava. Both have been great options! I highly recommend. Not to be forgotten, the service is great!! When my boyfriend and I moved from Memphis, TN to Brooklyn, NY around the middle of the July, we were LOST. Talk about culture shock! This lovely family owned restaurant was the first place we ate at. The owner and his family were the first people we spoke to, and very shortly thereafter were the first friends we made.
