I happened to be in the neighborhood, walking by, on my way to wherever, and I spotted Ten Full on the corner - so surely I thought I'd likely found one of those hidden-in-the-cut spots that deserved a Michelin Star a long time ago, but just hadn't gotten their shine yet.
Yeah, no.
I order Egg Fu Yung, the food was decent but admittedly I was wondering if the egg patties had been pre-prepared. Like, if they had come frozen and then just heated up.
That was my first time, first restaurant ever, where I'd ordered Egg Fu Yung and ended up suspicious about those eggs.
Not 100% sure they were cooked fresh.
But that's neither here nor there (because the gravy was good at least) because what really killed it for me was the woman who walked in with her dog like the dog owned the place! Like the dog was the real star of the show! Like her pampered pooch deserved a seat at one of the tables! I was shocked!
And then she stood there, INSIDE of the restaurant's dining room w/ her privileged dog, for at least 10 minutes, while she waited for her food.
I was so disgusted I wanted to ask for my money back and cancel the order, but I didn't want no problems, yet I just couldn't take my mind off of the DOG prancing around in front of me! And to add to the visual of all of this in your head, there was a man sitting right next to it, minding his business. Eating his lunch! It was like a scene from an episode of The Simpson's, you can't possibly make any of this up!
The weather was nice, maybe like 50 degrees out, and this lady comes in w/ a fur coat and a Pomeranian!
I went back, ate my food, and that's pretty much a wrap for me and any future order at Ten Full.
I tried. I gave them a chance. But I was distracted looking for little blonde doggie hairs in my dinner and it completely ruined the experience and the meal.

Read moreCustomers be aware!! This place might be good Chinese food but once they notice youâre not one of their regulars they will try to up charge you. I have been to this place before as I live in the area and know their size portions. Tonight I went in and ordered 2 small sautĂ©ed broccoli and I was charge $12.52. I waited about 6-8 minutes to get my order. The lady at the front hands me my order and I walk out. As Im walking back home I notice that the bag was very light and I looked inside to see what was in there. This place had put the sautĂ©ed broccoli in a small soup cup. I go back to the restaurant and request I speak to the same guy that took my order. I waited for him to come to the front and I took out 1 of the cups and when he showed up I asked him what was this about. He automatically stated that âeverything went up in priceâ and I tried to explain to him that in the past I was charged less for more broccoli. He said he understood but prices have gone up. I told him that my go to spot was closed today which is why I came here and he told me âok so next time go to them and order your foodâ. While going back and forth I asked him to give me my money which he finally ended up doing. On the way out I grabbed a menu and he tried to take it back from me. When I got home I looked at the menu and the sautĂ©ed broccoli was $5.50 so he basically charged me a $1 on top of the menu prices hence why he probably didnât want me to have the menu. Good job to Ten Full because you picked the wrong person to do this tooâŠIm a superintendent of a very large building and I will make sure all my tenants are...
Read moreThis is my go-to spot for simple, down-home Chinese food in Sunnyside. I order regularly from the healthy/vegetable/chicken entrees and the Chow Mai Fun (rice noodles) and Lo Mein (egg noodles). Hits the spot and CANNOT complain about the portions! I can't even finish a pint of these dishes in one sitting (ps: the person complaining about the portions ... do you have any idea what $15 gets you at McDonald's these days?!)
As for the rest of the menu, I do not recommend the friend/battered stuff (calamari, boneless chkn w/ mixed vegs, lemon chkn, etc.). They go a bit heavy on the batter and it just ain't good. Also the Chef's Selections ... sorry but everything tastes the same with a rotation of the ingredients but the same brown sauce essentially. A hard skip.
For my recommended dishes I give it 5 stars. For the ones I don't recommend, I give it 3 stars. So an average of 4...
