The Boathouse Outdoor Bar — Restaurant in New York

We got really bad service from the dock side bartender Yannis. He asked one of our guests for physical ID, as she only had a digital one, and was refused service. Thats completely fine, but what wasnt was the attitude and snark comment made afterwards.

Our second guest immediately showed three different ID without being asked and Yannis made comments on her picture not looking like her. He then accepted a digital ID whilst saying; “I wasnt asking you for ID, I asked her”. So somehow a digital ID was fine?

Our third guest asked for recommendations for something fresh, as there were no physical menues available, and was ignored while proceeding to serve other guests that came after us. We waited for a while as we thought her drink was being made, and then realised we werent being served at all. We finally got to look at a menu and got our last drinks.

The drinks were fine, but this experience put a dent in our day. We quickly drank our drinks and left, not ordering anything else because we didnt feel welcome there.

For referance our group all consisted of 30+ and 60+ age so nowhere near the US age limit. No other guests in our groups were...

My husband and I encountered two persons on staff who were both very eager to be as rude as possible. We wanted a nice romantic scenic place to sit and have some lunch after a walk through the park. The first person, who was middle aged, basically scoffed at us when we asked where we were to go to be seated and hurried us into a room that resembled a cafeteria. When we approached the counter there to ask again...the very young snotty girl sitting there had no time in the day to even lift her head to speak to us. After we finally got her attention, she told us to go back out to where we had just come from, waving her hands at us, in an extremely rude manor as if we’d bothered her. My husband and I decided at that moment to simply leave and take our business elsewhere. Upon exiting, my husband thanked the girl for her rudeness, and she told us that we were welcome. Nice. Hostess was not nice at all. When we arrived she said we should come back in 15 minutes so she would have a table. - but she didn't. She kept sending us away and saying she was coming for us because we were waiting at the bar. However, people who arrived later than us got a table in front of us and people were always let in. If we hadn't been so hungry, we would have gone somewhere else. In the end we made a reservation to get a table. very unprofessional. Food was okay, waiter was friendly and...
