The Pizza Parlor — Restaurant in New York

Ordered out a cheese pie and pasta with meatballs. For starters the price they charged for a pizza seemed excessive for pretty small cheese pie . Then the pizza itself tasted pretty bland and inconsistent. Barely any sauce and cheese(didn’t really have much flavor from small amount of sauce and cheese) seemed like it was 3/4 dough and 1/4 cheese and sauce. Felt like I was eating bread with tiny amount of unflavored sauce and melted cheese. The center of the pie started off soggy and then chewy as you got closer to the crust.

The pasta and meat balls were also very bland, pasta might’ve been a little over cooked and meatballs were dry and tasted like cardboard.

Maybe this was an off night, but definitely not up the expectations these other reviewers hyped...

I had a Father's Day get together at my house today for over 30 guests children included and had no idea what to make. A friend of mine recommended Pizza Parlor on Jewett ave so I gave them a call. The young lady who answered the phone couldn't have been more polite as she answered any and all of my questions and recommended a few of their half tray specials including chicken fingers and fries for the kids and they absolutely loved them. The rest of us had the chicken francais, chicken parmesian and their eggplant parm as well as a few other dishes and everything was delicious. The first few times we ordered from here the food was great but, something changed here. Last 3x we ordered food it took about 90mins to arrive. When it did it was ice cold and soggy. The 2nd time it happened I called up to let them know. The staff was super sweet. Told me they were sending new food and a gift card for the order amount ($40 for a pie and mozzarella sticks). They sent it again still over an hour, still cold with a $25 GC. We still applauded them for trying to correct the situation and decided to give it one more chance. Today’s order took just as long, pizza was ice cold and the “jumbo wings” that they used to send (pictured below) were replaced with these other sad little breaded guys.
