I've been going here for 12 years. At that time it was one of the best bars in the neighborhood, but 2012 was a long time ago and that's really not the case anymore. I was really excited when the Brooklyn Public House owners bought it, but there's basically no resemblance between the two bars. The food at Swan is downright bad; pretty clear they just heat up cheap frozen food. Either there is no AC or they just don't turn it on. They advertise $5 well drinks at happy hour, but if you add something to it (like getting a vodka soda instead of just vodka) it becomes a "cocktail" and then its $10. Not a ton of options in this part of the neighborhood (esp with Swell Dive closing) but maybe just walk an extra block to Do or...

Went here for weekend brunch, encouraged that they offered a full English. We sat in the far back on the small outdoor patio. Cool atmosphere, Premiere League match on the TVs, folks in football kit to represent their team. Outdoor tables were grimy and never wiped down. I'm celiac, and the menu had a GF symbol, so I thought I was in the clear... until I noticed that NOT A SINGLE ITEM ON THE MENU was marked with the GF symbol. I asked our waitress which options were gluten free, she said anything could be made gluten free. I ordered an omelette... and it came out with two slices of wheat toast. So I don't trust their kitchen to know anything about food safety/allergies.

Good happy hour...

We enjoyed the food, drinks, and vibe. We’ll be back again.

The place is brand new, but some how feels like it’s always been there. Very clean, and friendly staff. It’s easy to get a table now, but you can tell that by summer this place is gonna be packed. So try it now!

Had the fish and chips, my partner had the rib eye steak. The steak had a nice seer to it, juicy on the inside. The Buffalo wings were really good, and came in a nice portion.

For we had an old fashion, and the Brooklyn lemonade.

Overall it’s great quality food, in a nice clean atmosphere that wasn’t overly fancy.

It definitely made my list of spots to meet up with friends. Will check out the brunch...

I'm a big fan of their other location down in Fort Greene and couldn't be more excited that this was closer to my side of town. The first time I stopped by was for lunch, and it was so beautifully decorated for the season. The Reuben sandwich on Focaccia was everything! The Burger was pretty solid, too. I stopped by again last night for dinner, and to be honest, I wanted everything 😆 I ended up getting a fried chicken sandwich and a really good espresso martini. Next time, I really want to try the short ribs & mash 🤤 oh & and TV everywhere if you want to watch sports!

So the design - FABULOUS. Service - staff are nice but slow and faltering. Temperature is not adjusted properly, we were all cold (party of 8). Plates are plastic 😶Burger is not the same, more like a smash burger.. the pickle is not sliced into rings for a proper bite (and one of us didn’t get any 🤦‍♀️). Fries are great, cauli-wings are 10/10, wings 8/10. Brooklyn Lemonade 5/10. The menu is limited in comparison to the original location (Dekalb).. I’ll give them time to sort their game.. till then - the original is WAY better🤷‍♀️

Don’t get it twisted they close at 2 am and not 4 am as advertised. I had the margarita with pineapple and coconut. Deliciouso, tasty and buzz worthy. I enjoyed the ambience, the customer service and music selection. Everything about this place is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Got invited to Brunch unlimited mimosa for 22 bucks which is a steal with a purchase of a meal. I will return because of everything.
