Different review/update: So, in this visit I ask for less ice and this dude still put so much ice (see 2 new photos) I paid for ice. I ordered large and in few sips my drink was done. Also, this “jumbo boba” isn’t really boba. It’s jelly shaped into big ball shape. If I knew that, I would have not gotten it. It’s pretty much false advertising. Boba is tapioca to my understanding. I wasn’t happy I felt like I wasted $8 for few sips.
First review: Last time I came here I ordered the mango sago and strawberry mochi. Very delicious. I tried to ask for less ice or no ice at all and they said no. I’ve had drinks plenty of times from tiger sugar before and notice too much ice so I thought I’d ask. Its hard to enjoy the toppings when there is too much ice floating around in the drink when you finish drinking it. All bubble tea places allow you to control ice levels. The amount of ice shouldn’t be a “standard” in the recipe. If there is too much ice it dilutes the drink and taste bad. The drink also finishes too quick. People don’t want to pay for ice… they want a drink. Other than the ice thing… the drinks are good and all. Also would it be possible to put all these special new drinks so they could be ordered for delivery or pick up online? I wanted to try place and order but didn’t because of...
Read moreTiger Sugar is more known for their brown sugar boba drink, and I love those. But I came here to today because I’m such a cream puff lover and I had to try their new bakery selection.
Not sure if because I came later in the day but this branch didn’t have the croissants that I also would love to try. I was able to get an order of cream puffs and an eclair. There was a 3 puff and free Oolong promo so I hopped on that.
The young man who took my order was very friendly, polite and helpful. There was only one other group in the store, it looks like there’s seating now, even if the space has decreased from the last time I came in.
I like the flavor of the oolong tea, maybe a bit too much sugar for me. The eclair and cream puff shells are super crispy, I love it! The cream (vanilla) is also right up my alley. The chocolate filling I might pass on next time. Nothing wrong with it, I guess I just don’t care for it. My eclair shell was a bit on the toasty side where it has an almost burnt taste. Not a total deal breaker, just putting it out there.
Anyway, I’m so glad there’s cream puffs so close by now. I love this texture of cream puff! I hope I get to try the strawberry cream croissant next time because that’s my favorite...
Read moreAverage pricey drinks. A drink will set you back at least $6. They don't do accomodations either. I tried asking for less ice but was refused and told no changes can be made. I usually order less ice in other boba spots since I find "normal" levels of ice to be excessive and I'm satisfied most of the time. Here, for whatever reason, they cannot honor this simple request. I decided to try it anyways since it was my first time and, after hearing so much about it, had to try it out. To my disappointment, the drink itself was just average. It wasn't offensively bad but not the drink everyone was hyping it up to be. Flavorwise, It felt like regular black tea with tons of sugar and ice added to the mix. The brown sugar didn't do anything for me either. By the time I was finished, the leftover ice ended up taking more than half of the cup, which was quite dissatisfying to see considering how expensive the drinks were. There are other boba tea spots in the area that offer much better value and variety than this place, made me wish I was there...
