Title: A Classic Delight at Tom's Restaurant: A Seinfeld Experience Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tom's Restaurant in New York City, and as a fan of Seinfeld, it was an experience filled with nostalgia and culinary delight. Located on the corner of West 112th Street and Broadway, this iconic eatery has been serving up delicious meals since 1940, and it truly lives up to its reputation. Atmosphere: Stepping inside Tom's Restaurant felt like entering the pages of a Seinfeld episode. The walls adorned with quirky memorabilia and familiar photographs instantly transported me back to the beloved sitcom. The cozy and vibrant interior, combined with the buzzing energy of fellow diners, created an atmosphere that was both comfortable and lively. Service: The staff at Tom's Restaurant were friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Despite the restaurant being busy on a Friday night, our server greeted us with a warm smile and promptly took our orders. Throughout our meal, they ensured that we had everything we needed, and their attention to detail added to the overall positive experience. Food: Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food! Tom's Restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring classic American comfort food, and we indulged in a variety of dishes. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, satisfying even the most discerning burger connoisseur. The pancakes were fluffy and accompanied by a generous serving of maple syrup, making for a delightful breakfast-for-dinner experience. As for the mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers, they were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with a side of tangy dipping sauces that enhanced their taste. Value: Considering the quality and portion sizes, the prices at Tom's Restaurant were reasonable, aligning with the average prices in the area. The affordability of the meals made the dining experience even more enjoyable, as we left with satisfied appetites and wallets. Conclusion: Tom's Restaurant is not just a place to have a meal; it's an iconic New York City landmark that encapsulates the nostalgia of Seinfeld. The friendly atmosphere, attentive service, and delectable food make it a must-visit for both fans of the show and food enthusiasts alike. Whether you're craving a burger, pancakes, or a taste of the Seinfeld universe, Tom's Restaurant will not disappoint. Make sure to visit, and prepare to create your own memorable dining experience. Remember, "No soup for you!"

Tom's Restaurant, located at 2880 Broadway in Morningside Heights, New York City, is an iconic diner famous for its appearance in the hit TV show "Seinfeld," where it doubled as Monk's Cafe. This unassuming corner diner has been a staple of the neighborhood since the 1940s, serving Columbia students and locals alike with its classic diner fare and cozy, nostalgic atmosphere. For "Seinfeld" fans, visiting Tom's Restaurant is a delightful pilgrimage. While the interior shots for the show were filmed on a set, the exterior of Tom's became one of the most recognizable TV locations. Stepping inside, you won't find Seinfeld-themed dishes, but you will experience a quintessential New York diner ambiance with high-backed vinyl booths, a no-nonsense staff, and a menu that covers all the diner classics. Even if you don't stop to eat, the experience of visiting Tom's Restaurant is worthwhile for the nostalgia alone. The exterior is perfect for those quintessential "Seinfeld" photo ops, and the inside feels like stepping back into TV history. The diner maintains its charm with a menu offering everything from hearty breakfasts to late-night snacks, all served with endless coffee refills. Overall, Tom's Restaurant is more than just a spot for a meal—it's a slice of pop culture history that continues to draw fans from around the world. Whether you're a die-hard "Seinfeld" fan or just in the mood for a classic diner experience, Tom's offers a unique taste of New York City's rich cultural tapestry.

If you’ve seen the sitcom Seinfeld, then you know Tom’s Restaurant—the iconic exterior featured as the gang’s favorite hangout spot. But let me ask you, have you tasted the burgers? They’re as classic as the diner itself! Juicy, flavorful, and always satisfying, the burgers pair perfectly with their crispy fries. This is a place where you can eat, chill out, and enjoy the vibe. Tom’s isn’t just a diner; it’s a community hub. Located in the heart of Columbia University's neighborhood, it has a unique vibe where the chatter of bright young minds fills the air (though not all of them are comedians—looking at you, Jeff Putterman, SIPA '93…inside joke, but unfortunately accurate). Whenever I need to satisfy my burger and fry cravings, this is the place I turn to. The staff is always courteous, the service is prompt, and the food is consistently good. It’s the quintessential college diner experience that somehow remains timeless, even as the years—and my grey hairs—roll on. Be sure to check out the attached picture and take a look at their extensive menu. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic burger, an all-day breakfast, or one of their delicious milkshakes, Tom’s has something for everyone. Trust me, you need to drop by and experience it for yourself. Come for the nostalgia, stay for the comfort food, and leave with a full stomach and a smile. Enjoy!

Came here with my lovely wife since we are both big fans of the show Seinfeld. FYI: It’s pretty tight quarters. The place is designed to fit as many people as humanly possible so…it’s a little bit like flying coach when you first sit down to eat. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an awesome place but if you’re a big guy like me, be forewarned it might be a little on the cramped side. Service is awesome! Staff is awesome!! Atmosphere was awesome!! Food was okay. I got the double cheeseburger and fries - i’d give the burger a 6.5 / 10 and I’d give the fries a 7.1. Not the best diner burger I’ve ever had but by no means the worst. Definitely above average and a great spot to come in and grab a quick bite. Also got the soup and salad. The vegetable soup was really good actually. I’d give it a solid 8.8 /10 The salad was okay. Not a ton of dressings to choose from and no Italian dressing but still not bad. I’d give the salad a solid 7.0. My wife got the chicken fingers and fries. She gave the chicken fingers 7.0 and she also gave the fries 7.1 Jessica was our server and she was the absolute best - 10/10 !!🙏 A great place to grab a quick bite, have a few laughs with the waitstaff (who were all incredible including Jessica) and enjoy the funny Seinfeld posters hanging on the wall.

As a result of being a fanatic of Seinfeld (the show), by default I immensely adore this joint and made a second visit coming across several states away. While much of the stuff I can speak highly about, but today I was extremely disappointed with our sever. We really weren’t hungry and came out of town with our little one and decided to pay a visit just for being fans of this cozy joint; a true American household brand. So, we ordered an omelette to share (and a bowl of veggie soup for our little one). The food was very decent. But the shock came when the server quietly squeezed in there some $3.50 on top of a regular price without even letting us know before hand. He only told us after the fact that this $3.50 is a form of punishment for sharing the entree as he served us with an extra blank plate! Can you believe it? 😬 I really didn’t want to fight it as it was very unethical business gesture and we really didn’t have much time. But I did let him know that this wasn’t a cool move and it’ll certainly leave a bad taste. I’m really unaware of anywhere in the world of a restaurant doing anything mean to their guests like that. Definitely uncool 👎
