Vara juice (Jamaica) — Restaurant in New York

June 2025: I tried the mini fruit bowl pomango passion tonight. It was $3.99. It has strawberries, bananas, mango, mango pureee and pomegranate seeds. More fruits could of been added even though it's a mini. 4 small pieces of banana were added. It was fresh and tasty.

Update March 2025: Went tonight to get a lemon ginger honey and the Vara smoothie. I had to ask was it a large as the container size looks like a small to me. By the time I got home, the layers had mixed and it's ice cream in the Vara smoothie. It was good but I dont think I would spend almost $8 for this size smoothie and it wasnt filled to the top. I stick to the bowls from here.

1st time here 2/23/25 I was greeted when I came in. I ordered at the kiosk. I love bowls and decided to try the Vara Twin Acai Bowl. It has coconut, berry (assuming it's acai) and mango as the layers with fresh fruit on the top! I usually buy my bowls from Bora Bora cafe and tried the acai bowl twice from Tropical Smoothie cafe. The combo of having different bases is what attracted me to Twin bowl. Vara is better priced and its a larger size than at Tropical cafe. A suggestion is to have agave as one of sauce toppings. Go to their competitor down the block bora bora . Much better selection and up to date with current trends. I came to vara juice thinking they would have acai bowls with protein powder. But they said they can’t mix protein powder with acai bowls (which is false if you go to similar places they accommodate). They made me think I was the crazy one .
