Vinny's Lunchbox — Restaurant in New York

I enjoyed my experience here. Honestly, when I pulled up, I almost left because the address lead me to a store with a blue awning, but the gates were down. It says clearly Vinny‘s lunchbox. So I decided to walk up to the gates to see if there were any words or a paper explaining Why they were shut down and my eyes led me to a store next-door that looked like they served breakfast so I walked in because I still needed to have breakfast! Turns out, this is their new location. So I hope they are not losing business because of this. I literally almost drove away.

As I approach the door to the establishment, there was a paper sign on the door, saying “cash only”. So once again, I almost walked away. But there was an open table as soon as I entered. So I decided to go inside to rest my bag down so I can look through my wallet to see if I had cash. Carrying cash is just not something that I oftentimes do in the year 2025. One of the servers asked if I needed a table and I said I need to first see if I have cash. And another worker said, “that’s OK. We have a card machine”. So on two occasions, they might have lost business! Because what if I didn’t go inside!

I’m glad I did everything I just mentioned before… 1. Continue to look for a breakfast location to dine in. 2. Go inside to look to see if I had cash.

Because ultimately the service was beautiful! The atmosphere was great! And not to mention, breakfast was delicious! I have added this list to my own for beautiful breakfast spots to visit. I can’t...

Love having breakfast there. I recently had my birthday breakfast there, always enjoy a nice peaceful breakfast. Well run place by cooks and waitresses. My birthday breakfast again on 12/12/18. Irish dinner today 03/16/19 corn beef and cabbage with potatoes... awesome! Also the roast beef is awesome on Tuesdays, better than Brennan Carr. Wednesday roast pork, Thursday cuban sandwich, Friday pastrami...all great 👍

Interesting, I happen to see a negative post about how someone's breakfast eggs weren't cooked to their liking plus add pictures of it. They didn't like the service either giving a low rating. If they didn't like the eggs when served to them, they should have sent it back immediately, the cooks there would have corrected the problem. I used to order from Vinny’s all the time but lately their service has gone down. When I try to order over the phone, their prices can skyrocket compare to going in person. For two people it would have been $54 but when we usually go its 40 or less. I tried to explain to the lady that their menu online states different prices but she kept insisting their menu isn’t online. Aside from the photos of the menu people recently post, google clearly has their menu listed under their name. The moment I asked why it was so much, the lady’s tone changed and in the end I just told her to cancel the order. I am just one customer so im sure losing my order won’t make a difference, but just disappointed with the service overall especially if they keep you on hold and treat you like they’re the ones doing...
