Oof. As two plant based people, we found NOTHING on the menu that offered or accommodated anyone vegan. Not a single item except the sorbet dessert? The least they could do is put a quinoa salad with veggies and a vinaigrette on the menu like everywhere else? This felt like stuck up classic old New York where its meat this, poached fish that.
After talking with the staff, they agreed they could make their tomato soup without dairy, and they would remove the sliver of grilled cheese. (This meal is $20). When it arrived, only one soup came vegan - without cream and without the TINY grilled cheese, and the other was the regular one. We had to correct this. So then the accommodated vegan tomato soup came out, and when it was time to leave, we were charged for the full no-vegan meal with the grilled cheeses included. $50+ tab for no drinks and 2 soups. I could’ve made Pacific soup from a box that tasted better than this at home. It was completely bad mannered and left a terrible taste in our mouths of the service of The Frick. This is our second time at the museum and we have been consistently met with some of the WORST...

I think the inside of the restaurant is very beautiful and a wonderful ode to Frick family. It was the first day so things were very busy but I was upset the hosts kept giving tables away to people with no reservations when I had been waiting for 20 minutes and they kept giving my seat away when I had a reservation. The hosts were terrible. However the staff inside was very lovely. The food is good but I wouldn’t say I was particularly blown away. I had the heirloom tomato soup and the Caesar salad. I loved the pineapple fizz mocktail and it was very solid Bloody Mary. The drinks are supposed to be based on cocktails with a curator but I didn’t see anything mention of that on the menu. I think that’s a very unique part of the restaurant but I would have no idea if I didn’t read about it beforehand. I think they should...
Read moreI sat at the bar by myself at Westmoreland at The Frick and was taken care of by Ricardo, who was absolutely wonderful. The space is stunning and elegant, light-filled, and beautifully designed, with every detail feeling thoughtful and refined. I had a Cosmopolitan and a croissant, which was the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is both sophisticated and welcoming, and Ricardo’s attentive service made the experience exceptional. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy something...
