I recently had the privilege of being under the care of Dr. S, a highly skilled and compassionate plastic surgeon who performed a breast reduction surgery that has profoundly changed my life. I visited Dr. Shridharani today for a consultation for Kybella for under the chin and the side jawline and in the abdominal area. The office is beautiful, upscale and Dr. Shridharani is very personable, thorough and knowledgeable. I received treatment today but cannot yet comment on the results as it will take a few weeks/months to see results. I would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for the subpar experience with his staff. The nurses seemed a bit inexperienced and out of sync with Dr. Shridharani during the treatment and it seems the Director of Operations needs to be better trained and more transparent and thorough in her financial discussions with patients. I felt a bit of a bate and switch with what was discussed and templated with the Doctor, and then priced out prior to treatment versus what was actually treated. For a high end plastic surgery office in NYC, I expected much better from the staff supporting Dr. Shridharani with him being the very experienced, innovative, kind and personable Doctor that he is. I would recommend a consultation with Dr. Shridharani, but be sure to plan for at least a 3 hour visit if you are considering getting non-invasive in office treatment during the initial visit as there is a very thorough process including photos (which was great but they did not explain the time commitment when making the appointment when I asked if treatment could be done within the same visit as the consultation when making the appointment ). I also did not receive any post care instructions from the staff verbally or in a sheet to take home as I’ve experienced at other offices and clinics. Also be sure to analyze and press them for full transparency with the pricing process and model throughout the visit. I experienced things breaking down and not aligning in their talk track and messaging once you start discussing things with their Director of Operations Kim regarding pricing after the great consultation experience part of the visit with Dr. Shridharani. I’m looking forward to seeing the results the Kybella treatment delivers over the next 4-6 weeks and will provide an update on those results. Unfortunately, The experience with the staff has definitely caused me to take pause on doing more extensive and invasive procedures in the future...
